Thanks for the welcomes. The most curious part of this process for me has been the absolute silence from the administration. I respect that they don’t want to dance on Woody’s grave, and I certainly understand the complexities of candidates currently coaching and under contract, but you’d think there would be some mainstream reports digging in and we’ve seen next to nothing. Kudos to the administration, but it doesn’t help my impatience which obviously should be their number 1 concern.

I haven’t got much solid info—just some reasonable hunches.  A friend who is very connected with Varsity Club told me on 2/14 they were taking a “big run” at Brad.  Not clear if it had happened by that date or not.  I do know two people who would absolutely have been contacted to ante up—but haven’t asked what they know.  

Again—I just can’t get past what has substantially changed since the last run at Brad.  He had his eye on the NBA going back to his Butler days.  The Celtics is the one job that pulled him away from college.  He seems happy and content, as does his family.

I will try to answer this. His kids are older, son at Notre Dame, might want to coach him. He has stated to people privately that he misses coaching

Boston won the NBA championship. Nothing left to accomplish there. Lots of money were offering. 

But maybe he doesn't and we'll still get a great coach
