Alright, who is the next player to watch for or any rumblings of guys we should keep an eye on for IU to land as transfers?

It's been pretty quiet. Maybe Locke but Rabby has said that there are guards and wings that IU is talking to and they are listening. Nothing more than that though right now.

I am waiting for Keion to go into the portal...

No insider information... just hopeful.

Has Earl Timberlake been discussed at all in this thread? Former #35 ranked recruit that went to Miami. He's an athletic 6'6" wing described mostly as a slasher/defender. He's also another DeMatha guy. He wasn't on my radar originally but given Xavier's comments about Victor talking up IU, I wonder if there's a connection with Timberlake as well.

Coup d'etat that would set up this team for an unbelievable season would be 6'9" Tre Mitchell from UMass.
Checks all the boxes for me and as a So. would be a great go to guy when TJD leaves for the NBA.

Pipe dream I know....

We were on Tre back in the recruiting process. He is a very good player and you're right, he can do a lot of things very good.

Glad to have Race back man. He worked his @$$ off. Hopefully they focus on him being that stretch 4 because I think he can guard 3-5 and maybe a 2 at times. I have always thought his shot was decent but it's tough to get a rhythm when you basically take 1 or less per game

Yeah, to me it seemed like he was on a really tight lease with 3 point attempts, which seemed to mostly come before the first media timeout. Maybe he didn't have the confidence in his shot once he started getting a little fatigued, or very likely he was flat out told not to take them as the game went on. With some of TJD's comments, it really feels like Archie micromanaged in the manner and expected players to stick to narrowly defined roles

Race showed that he has the ability to hit the deep shot. This is easily a better situation that a rebuilding Minnesota. If I'm Woodson, go get Max Bielfeldt to come into Cook Hall and work with the bigs on their deep shot. The guy was money and would help out in a heartbeat. If a guy with what can only be described as the largest trunk/legs to ever put an IU jersey on shoot that good...he's got something to share...bring him in.
