Been nearly 450 days off the pitch and while the season may get underway the matches will be played without fans indefinitely.  The No. 7-ranked Indiana Hoosiers (0-0-0) opens the unique 2020-21 season as hosts to the Wisconsin Badgers (0-0-0). First kick is scheduled for 1p.m. ET on Feb. 19 at Grand Park in Westfield.

SETTING THE SCENE
• For the first time in nearly 450 days, the Indiana men's soccer team will take to the pitch.  
• Indiana enters the 2020-21 campaign off a 33rd­-straight bid to the NCAA Tournament and the 44th overall in the program's history.
• The Hoosiers were dubbed the No. 5 seed in the NCAA Tournament. IU has earned a top-16 seed 15 times since the NCAA implemented the current seeding format in 2003 (17 seasons).
• Last season, the Hoosiers won both the Big Ten regular season championship (16th time) and Big Ten Tournament championship (14th time) in the same season for the second time in as many years, marking the first back-to-back double since the 1998-99 seasons. The double is the 10th in program history, the most in the Big Ten.
 
NEWS AND NOTES  
• Redshirt senior defender Spencer Glass was named to the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List, Top Drawer Soccer Preseason Best XI, and the No. 4 Player to Watch by TDS.  
• Sophomore forward Victor Bezerra was named the No. 57 Player to Watch by Top Drawer Soccer.  
 
SCOUTING THE BADGERS
• The Wisconsin Badgers enter the 2020-21 season off a 3-11-4 (1-4-3 B1G) record in 2019.
• Sophomore midfielder Inaki Iribarren returns as the Wisconsin leader in points (5), goals (2), and assists (1) from a season ago.
• The Hoosiers will see a new keeper this season as senior Dean Cowdroy graduated out of the Badger program after making 17 starts with a 1.39 GAA and 57 saves during his final campaign.
 
SERIES HISTORY
• The Hoosiers have historically controlled the matchup with the Badgers, winning 39 of the 53 contested matches. IU holds a record of 39-5-9 against UW and hold a 22-1-2 advantage in home matches.  
• Indiana is undefeated in the last nine matches (5-0-4) against Wisconsin. The last Badger win in the series came in a 4-3 win on Oct. 11, 2013 in Madison.  
 
B1G DOMINANCE
• In the program's last 36 Big Ten regular season matches Indiana holds a record of 26-1-9. During the four-and-a-half year run, IU was unbeaten in the regular season during conference play from Oct. 16, 2015 until Oct. 18, 2019, a span lasting 1,464 days and 32 matches. 
• In 2018, the team posted a perfect 8-0 record. The eight wins in conference play marked the most ever by a Big Ten program. The season marked the first undefeated, untied season by a B1G since Penn State achieved a 6-0 record in 2005. IU accomplished the same feat (6-0) in 2002.
• The Hoosiers hold the conference lead in regular season titles (16), tournament championships (14), and championship doubles (10).
