Galloway’s shooting is one of the bigger swing skills on this roster this year (and beyond), I think. Probably a 3 who can handle enough to play the 2, and guard most teams’ 4s. If his shot is a threat that’s a valuable upperclassman. If not he’s a nice bench piece.

If not he’s a “just okay” bench piece

That is his Achilles heel and it’s a big one - his shot is so broke and that’s crazy to me since his dad is a coach and he has been playing his whole life.
Similarly, Geronimo just needs to play within himself - defend, block shots, rebound and put back close to the rim shots. He is money around the rim and suspect elsewhere

Yes, probably fair. He’s in a nice spot as the roster shapes up this year and next, to the extent we know it. There are niches he can fill as a dependable wing defender or downhill creator on a bench unit that can earn him some time. I like Leal but Galloway brings different things to the table.

I like both of them, for different reasons, just as I like Race & Trayce for different reasons.

IMO Galloway's improved (not totally fixed) his shot, and is more consistent with it than, say....KL. But Galloway was never recruited to be a 3 pt specialist like Parker or Miller. He's a Mike Roberts kind of guy with a better scoring capability.

TG is MUCH more than that.

At the B1G level?  We are waiting to see. Maybe. If he can shoot 3s and actually gain enough respect to be guarded out there.  Could be be like an Aaron Craft?  I’ve always liked his potential. Wishing him the best.

I think we need to see him shoot more before we say he’s improved his shot. He’s only taken 9 shots this year. 4 of them were threes and he made 1. We’ll see.

I was referring to his form, not his make %. I'm not an expert by any means, but I can definitely see a change in his shot form and trajectory. I'm sure there is more work to do on his shot form, but at least they (Fife) is addressing it based on prior comments.

JG is a TO machine. I expect him to throw or fumble it away every time he gets the ball. Kinda reminds me of Justin Smith in that regard. Tons of potential, but so careless with the ball it's maddening.

As for Galloway, I noticed he had nothing on his wrist the other night. I assume he'll be back in a week or so?

I would love to see him back - hate seeing anyone hurt and sitting out. I like his aggressiveness but he cannot be out on the court at the same time as Phinisee, Lander and anyone else that can’t shoot. Put him out there with Stewart for example and they might compliment each other well

I have not been the biggest Lander fan.....but it's not because he can't shoot.

Race has nice form. And he’s lucky to hit the inner 70% of the rim from 3. I’m kinda glad he keeps trying here and there but his form and results don’t match.

I’m sure other people could tell me why I’m wrong but I always thought Justin Smith had nice form and expected his shooting to come around. Obviously it never did, even at Arkansas.

I can't tell exactly, but it looks like he has the ball too low in his palm and so doesn't have enough control. The rest of the shot looks good

He’s also dreeeeeeamy!

Kidding aside—if he’s a 30%+ three point shooter he’s a pretty good P5 player IMO.

It looks like he has worked on his form so we will see.  Shooting aside, I’m more interested about the team winning than any stats of individual players.  When he is on the floor we are a better team on both ends.  On offense, the ball and player movement is so much better with him just being out there.  Same thing with Anthony Leal.  Both players bring a lot of value that can’t be measured in stats.  When TG is ready I hope they both see a lot of playing time going forward.

Oh and yes from a female perspective, they are both dreeeeeeamy!

Your loyalty is commendable and I agree they both bring value. If you could combine them into one player you would really have something.

Exactly, his form is great. I keep waiting for him to hit 2 or 3 in a row.
