Something for someone(not necessarily here) to research. When was the last IU/Michigan football game where IU was higher ranked?

Happened in back to back years in 87 and 88. I don't think it ever happened before that but I only went back to 1945. Didn't happen in 1967 , we entered the polls the week after we beat them.

I was going to ask this before the game, but feared we would sh*t the bed if I posted it then.

I thought about it during the 4th quarter when FS1 promo'ed next week's game. I was afraid that thinking about it was going too far.

Michigan State handled Rutgers pretty easily.

We handled Rutgers pretty easily.

Michigan State won at Michigan.

Michigan is coming to B-town next week.

I'm worried about us being overconfident!

LOL!

Rugers beat Mich St, confidence should be even higher.

Campbell Earns B1G Special Teams POW

Story Links

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana redshirt sophomore kicker Charles Campbell collected Big Ten Special Teams Player of the Week honors, the league announced on Monday morning. He is the second Hoosier in as many weeks to earn conference accolades, joining junior safety Jamar Johnson, who was named Big Ten co-Defensive Player of the Week.

IU improved to 2-0 with a 37-21 at Rutgers on Saturday. The Hoosiers opened conference play with consecutive wins for the first time since 1991.

Campbell connected on all three of his field goal attempts (42, 28, 31), which is tied for the 10th-most in a single game in program history, and each of his four extra point tries against the Scarlet Knights.

He is a perfect 11-of-11 (5 field goals, 6 PATs) in 2020, and he has not missed a kick in 14 career attempts (7 field goals, 7 PATs).

Indiana is ranked in both national polls for the second-straight week, sitting at No. 13 in both the Associated Press Top 25 and the Amway Coaches Poll presented by USA Today Sports. The ranking is the best for IU in the AP Poll since Oct. 31, 1987 (No. 11), while the team's place in the Coaches Poll matches its best-ever rating from Nov. 1, 1993.

The Hoosiers will host No. 23/25 Michigan on Saturday, Nov. 7, at noon ET at Memorial Stadium.

In accordance with Big Ten policy, members of the public will not be permitted to attend IU Football games during the 2020 season. All parking lots, both paved and grass that are customarily used for Football Gameday parking, will be closed to members of the public.
