I remember watching the draw and saw we would meet Cuse and I got ill. I knew we were in trouble.

Same. The tourney is never a guarantee but Syracuse was the only team I didn’t think we would beat that year.

As far as JHS and MCW, I wouldn’t consider it a good comparison. MCW was more of a true PG whereas JHS strikes me as a 2 guard with above-average ball handling skills.

I think there’s some potential to compare JHS and MCW defensively. They get it done differently; MCW has always been remarkably skinny and his arms appear insanely long. Those don’t seem to be the same strengths for JHS even if he’s already gifted on d.

He’s a point guard that can play the 2 and 3. Malcolm Brogdon is a decent player comp.

You can access a 2:36 video of him in action earlier this month.  11 assists and a single TO.

Had a chance to watch Montverde's game on Saturday against Central Pointe.  It was a mismatch from the start and Montverde won 75-47 but what a pleasure it was to watch Jalen.  Non-stop motor, very active on defense, great court awareness.  I had him with 13 pts on 6-11 FG; 1-5 on 3s; 9 reb; 9 asst; 2 stl in what I estimate was 24 min. of court time.

Also holding IU  offers from Montverde are '23 Kwame Evans and '24 Derik Queen.  Evans played about 14 min. scoring 8 pts. on 2-2 on 3s; 2-2 FT; 1 stl.  Queen played about 10 min. and was scoreless going 0-4 FG but did have 4 reb.

Montverde is so deep in talent and underclassmen have to be willing to bide their time.

Hood-Schifino may have switched to the curling team.

I’ve been told it’s the new way to get the girls…

For those of you who are able to watch, Jalen is #24.  '23 Kwame Evans is #13 and '24 Derik Queen is #22.   If this game follows the game I watched the other night, you won't see all 3 on the court at the same time.

Montverde won 84-39 over Real Salt Lake. Big mismatch. Hard to tell a lot from this game. JHS had easy assists throughout the game. Handles the ball well. Pushes off with left hand often. Plays good on-the-ball defense.

Anything you noticed in particular about Gibbs-Lawhorn on the RSL team?
