Comments from Brian Snow from yesterday's Sneakers for Santa event.

Along with Goode, class of 2022 wing CJ Gunn also stepped up in a major way.  His Lawrence North team came in ranked No. 1 in Indiana but got off to a slow start and needed to rally at the end to pull off the victory.

During the fourth quarter rally, Gunn hit a pair of threes, was tremendous going to the rim, and finished at the foul line as well. Gunn keeps on growing and getting more explosive athletically. If he can continue to get his shot going the way he did on Saturday, his tock will only continue to go up.

For the game Gunn finished with 19 points, six rebounds, three assists and three blocks, and looked the part of a clear high-major wing.

I like Gunn a lot.   I hope IU pushes hard for him.   Bad call at the end of that game.   Game should of went into 2OT

He’s a really intriguing kid. Do I remember reading that he’s a year young for his class or did I just dream it?

Eric Bossi after yesterday's game:

Ranked No. 124 overall in 247Sports ranking for the class of 2022 and No. 103 in the industry generated 247Sports Composite, CJ Gunn is no unknown on the recruiting trail. He's got offers from Indiana, Cincinnati, Kansas State and Wake Forest among others. But, given that no coaches have actually been able to see him in person since last winter, there are things that are revealed in person that don't show up when watching on film.

The Indianapolis (Ind.) Lawrence North two guard has grown some. He's at least 6-foot-4, possibly pushing 6-foot-5 and he's gotten much more explosive as an athlete. He's a confident ball handler who has added to his playmaking and there's a confidence and ease that he's playing with that sets up nicely. For a little while during the summer, it was thought that he had perhaps stalled a bit in his development but that is far from the case. Gunn is putting together an impressive junior campaign and came up big when he needed to during Lawrence North's win overtime win over Cincinnati (Ohio) Moeller while finishing with 15 points and six rebounds.

Lawrence North moved to 4-0 with an 89 -42 win over Fort Wayne Northrop.  Gunn with 18 pts. on 5-10 FG; 2-5 on 3s; 2-3 FT; 3 reb; 2 asst; 2 blks; 1 TO.

This is a good LN team that in addition to Gunn, starts D. J. Hughes a Butler commit and Donaven McCulley who's an IU football commit.

Lawrence North (5-0) trailed throughout the game but made a furious rally in the last minute to tie it up at 56.  In regulation, LN only made 3 3-point shots and all came in the final 18 seconds.  The third came at the buzzer from near mid-court to send it into OT.  LN controlled OT and pulled out a 65- 60 win.  I had Gunn with 9 pts; 4 reb; 4 asst; 1 stl; 2 TO.  He was 0-4 on 3s and 5-7 FTs.
