Quote from DeVonte from IUHoosiers.com:  "With COVID circumstances and the uncertainty of the NBA/G-league season, going overseas is the best opportunity for me to stay active and showcase my talent," said Green, who played as a prep at Long Island (NY) Lutheran.   "So when the NBA/G-league starts back up, I'll have the option to come back to play professionally in America.  I'll keep chasing my dream until the wheels fall off."

And in May he did receive his degree in Recreational Sports Management.

Super happy he received his degree and he’s chasing his dream. Best of luck!

Former Indiana Player Devonte Green Avoids Serious Injury in Car Accident

Devonte Green was involved in a car accident early Wednesday morning and needed to be taken to the hospital.

Scary news came out early Wednesday morning that former Indiana basketball player Devonte Green was involved in a traffic collision, as reported by Messolonghi News.

According to the report, the car driven by Green "collided with a taxi in Messolonghi, the capital of the Aetolia-Acarnania regional unit, and flipped over on the street."

There was another woman in the car with Green, and fire department assistance was necessary to safely remove both of them.

The woman in the taxi was removed safely from her vehicle as well, and all three of them were taken to a nearby hospital for immediate care.

Local traffic police are investigating the accident.

Green, who is in his first season with Messolonghi Baxi, is averaging 15.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game so far in Greece’s Basket League.

Glad he avoided serious injury.  Stay safe  and get healthy Green!

Anyone watch this interview? One Devonte's season ended this year with a diabetes diagnosis and he tells some of the reasons he and AM butted heads.

I really enjoyed the interview and hearing what he had to share. It made me appreciate Devonte a lot more, both as a player and as a person!
