Stockrisers discusses Brown's recruitment -

Brown's comments specific to Indiana:

Indiana: “The Hoosiers pitch to me is that they see me coming in and making an immediate impact as a freshman while playing at the biggest stage in college basketball. Getting to the NBA is what I’m going to do and Coach [Archie] Miller believes he can get me there. The school also has such a rich history.”

Ranked in the 100’s and talking about the NBA.  I get it.  I like the optimism.  Always shoot for the stars, but sometimes I miss hearing players talking about winning college basketball games.

On the plus side, I love it when a player has Harvard, Stanford, Princeton, or in this case, Yale on his offer list.

Brown:  “Coach Archie Miller and Kenya Hunter spend a lot of time communicating with my family and me. They make me their priority and it has been great developing a relationship with the IU staff.

3 schools prioritizing Brown.

Indiana: “Coach Archie Miller and Kenya Hunter, we talk every day. We’ve built a great relationship over these past few months. I’m getting to know them as people and understand what they’re about on and off the court. It’s just been fun building a relationship with these guys. My family has talked to them also so I’m always in the loop with what they’re working on in practice and what they need to work on. I watch their film and really get the inside scoop on what’s going on in their program.

Digging deeper, I've learned that Northfield Mount Hermon has had a number of scrimmages starting on Nov. 27, all of the intrasquad variety.  Brown's stats for each are below for what they're worth.

Nov. 27:  No points or rebounds listed; 7 assists.

Dec. 1:  11 pts. on 5-10 FG; 5 reb; 9 assists.

Dec. 4:  No points or rebounds listed; 4 assists.

Dec. 8:  42 pts. on 14-23 FG; 11 reb; 5 assists.  [Previously posted on Wednesday]

Dec. 14:  22 pts. on 7-12 FG; 4 reb; 5 assists.

He celebrated his birthday on Dec. 10.

I still can't find any confirmation or schedule of when actual games may start but with the holidays looming, I would guess hopefully in January.

In response to @ebridges24 question in the '22 recruiting thread, Brown will not have a basketball season.  The following is straight from his school's athletic director --

The NMH winter sports programs will practice every day.  The sports of wrestling, basketball and hockey will not have outside competition.  Both Alpine and nordic skiing can compete on a limited basis.  Swimming will host virtual meets.

Northfield Mount Hermon is a member of the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) and it's unclear who made the actual NMH decision to not play, i.e, the school itself or state or local Massachusetts government.  NEPSAC is comprised of nearly 150 schools and it was not an NEPSAC decision as some of its member schools do have published basketball schedules and others do not, one of which is Jordan Geronimo's former school St. Paul's.
