Since they're in charge of the data now, the next chart may look something like this:

Falsifying a federal document is against the law, the president would never do that. (*cough* Hurricane Dorian *cough*)

Out of curiosity for the people who won’t wear a mask to save lives.  Would you do it to save college basketball this season. Because that’s the only way your going to see a season

I'm not required to wear one at work, but I have to sit behind a stupid barrier that makes it more difficult to communicate with people. I'd gladly ditch the barrier if it meant wearing a mask instead.

I mean they have been promoting Trumps mistresses clothing line this who administration.

And KellyAnne Conway promoted the products that have his daughters name on them.  'Law and order' only applies when it's people who disagree with him.

And this is off topic again.

We are setting up our new facility right now.  Most areas we have been able to set stations far enough away that these barriers weren’t necessary.  Our older facilities were not so lucky.

My company gave us all cloth masks also. That are easy on the ears luckily.  From the time I leave my car to getting back in my car I wear it unless eating or drinking.

Went to Wal-Mart today for a good laugh, since the mask mandate takes effect tomorrow. You would have thought the blizzard of the century was coming. Scads and scads of people without masks pushing overflowing carts, obviously hoping they won't have to go grocery shopping again in the foreseeable future.

The saddest part was, I still saw more masks than I can ever remember seeing there.

Hadn’t thought about that.  Sure those poor employees got read the riot act by people about their personal freedoms and such nonsense.

"This is a va-lation of my civil rats!"

Didn't actually hear that, but have heard similar comments recently. And yeah, I don't envy Wal-Mart employees right now. Those poor souls are going to take it in the shorts the next few weeks.

I was searching Facebook last night for info on another city, and the first thing that came up was a Face Mask Mandate Opponents group. Had about 1,500 members, with goals of providing legal counsel to anyone that was not allowed into a store without a mask on and removing the town council members who voted in favor of masks.

What a time to be alive.

And further on that point.  I was a biologist first, a BS in Bio and Chem.  Does that mean I am a specialist? Absolutely not, but I know the scientific process and enough to see and understand things better than the general public.   Science is constantly expanding upon itself. Learning, testing, retesting over and over. That’s the nature of the process.  More questions need to be asked to these leading scientists about this virus by journalist. We, the general public aren’t getting the answers I want to have answered. Instead it’s Lectures about our politics.  Forget all that.  Let’s focus on the actual virus and figure it out. What’s  true and what isn’t.

Is that because they don’t have the answers?  Is that because journalism doesn’t want to expose anybody?  This is a new virus that closely associated with other viruses.  Our leading scientists have been wrong over and over. This appears to be a continuing trend.  Remember washing all your groceries 1 by 1?  Yeah, it wasn’t being spread that way unless people spit or cough on them within hours of you consuming them, and maybe not even then.  The list of errors and unknown is comically long yet the media doesn’t care about that.

Science provides the best tentative answers based on the available information.  Science learns from its mistakes.

Can we say the same about how the government has operated?

For people who worry about being able to breath with a mask on (I know there are some medical conditions where this could be true, but for the general public its pretty easy to demonstrate the oxygen rates don't change), I would suggest a gaiter.  Probably does not provide as much protection, but I've found that good ones you fiddle around with less and I have found some that will pass the 'candle test', FWIW.

Can anyone explain California?  June 18 they issued a mask mandate.  7 day average of cases 3372.  Today 7 day avg is 9057.  Hardly a red state.  Are they not complying?  What's happening there?

July Fourth crowds pack beaches despite coronavirus surge

Few people wear masks on the crowded sidewalks of San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter on Saturday.

https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2020-06-16/maskless-partying-bars-restaurants-coronavirus-concerns

I suppose it's in a real part because bars, restaurants, and beaches are exempt from mask requirements, and people at those places hang out in large groups of people in close proximity who are not their family members.

Anecdotally? Me, my wife, and my kids went to a local South Florida restaurant with plenty of outdoor seating, for lunch on Saturday. We were distanced, the waitress was masked, but the bar area? Packed tight with young people shoulder to shoulder drinking and letting loose. Well within the current mask mandates around here, but completely counterproductive.
