100% agree.

Our civic duty right now is to stay home. This pales in comparison to what past generations have been asked to do for the greater good. I understand that some people are really hurting right now due to lost jobs and income, and hopefully the government can help them get through this (in my opinion this is an issue we should have been addressing a long time ago with better social safety nets...but that is a separate discussion), but it isn't like we are being asked to sacrifice our lives or food like generations before us have. Stay home, keep yourself and others safe, and we will all make it through this.

Until then, I am going to keep listening to the experts. Stay safe everyone.

Is your family still getting a paycheck right now? 17 million people have lost their jobs in the past three weeks. That's more than 'some' people. If you're still collecting a check right now then sure, staying home is great. It's basically a paid vacation. Millions of people aren't so lucky.

Please point to the misinformation I have posted.  So far I have been right.  So pound sand.

When this is over we need to ***** slap china real good.

The FDA is killing us.  They are waiting for "the science" regarding treatment.  There is enough evidence to try the malaria drugs.  Get it done, NOW.

The economic devastation will be worse than the virus.  We are fkd.

Not talking about a vaccine.  Talking about a treatment that has been working overseas.  But whatever.

They're also saying that malaria drug is lethal after just 2 grams.

Not true.  My mother was on it.

Sorry got four posts of misinformation based on your “anecdotal” evidence in the first two pages and realized you weren’t worth my time beyond. Pound yourself.

Good point. The 17 million is most definitely an underestimate, given what you mentioned and also the difficulty people are having getting through to the unemployment departments.

You're joking, right.  Nothing there is misinformation.  If you don't like the meds, I am sure you'll reject them when offered.

Thousands of healthcare workers are getting laid off... During a pandemic. What's going to happen to eye doctors, dentists, family practitioners, etc., when they aren't allowed to open? Folks are concerned about overwhelming the 'healthcare system,' but our current policies are going to deal massive blows to it.

You’re joking right? Show me where they have been tested and passed FDA for this. So yes, anecdotal anything would be misinformation. Kind of odd I have to say that.

Oh don’t you worry. Many healthcare organizations will be there to buy them out for their patient list depending upon profession. I can honestly say I don’t know too many family practitioners that aren’t affiliated with a larger healthcare organization anymore. More the dentists and optometrist. Much like the family practitioners in the late 80s and early 90s they will have to work for a larger company than be a small business. It sucks but if they go under that’s most likely what will occur.

My wife and I both are fortunate to keep working, though I wouldn't call it a paid vacation. I still have work I have to do everyday and my wife has to go into her work everyday.

I truly am sorry for those businesses, families, and individuals that are hurting financially. I have people I care about that are in tough financial times right now because of this.  Even then, they are still taking this seriously and staying at home and understand that the stay at home order is for everyone's safety.

Why aren't you more angry at the powers that be for not having a fall out plan when it appears that they knew about this possibility all the way back in November? Why do you attack the doctors and scientists  whose job is to deal with the cause of this problem when your issue seems to be with those that should have an answer for the effect?

Bull crap.  Meds are used off label, without FDA approval, all the time.

For trials yes. For continued medical use where they are taking away from actual FDA approved illnesses and disease? Nope. Again misinformation. You have never worked in a health care setting and I will guarantee it. If you had and that’s how they practiced? They should be shut down.

No problem with social distancing.  What I don't need is the social distancing Nazis threatening arrest for throwing a softball with their kid.   https://www.nydailynews.com/coronavirus/ny-coronavirus-former-cop-arrested-social-distance-play-catch-daughter-20200408-plfk64splfc4dbcozwk3ndk63e-story.html

Well, he didn't get taken to a concentration camp and those darn 'Nazis' issued an apology, so, there's that.  Here's what I've learned, the hard way, through the years, just don't be a jerk to authority.  If they ask you for identification, you should probably give them your ID. If you don't have priors, didn't commit a crime and don't have any warrants there's a 99.99999% chance you're not going to get cuffed.  Heck man, just don't be jerk in general has been a pretty solid road traveled for me.

Since you're up on the science behind predictive modeling, this is called an 'anomaly' in the algorithm applied to the predictive model. ;-)

Tell that to my wife who needed off label use for MS.  But whatever.

They should be shut down. There are specific regulated drugs for that exact condition. With how tightly everything is regulated I call BS on that one.

Ok you're just ignorant.  It was before they developed MS drugs in pill form.  It was a pill they use to suppress immune systems for transplant patients.  Leading MS specialist at Rush University Hospitals prescribed it based on his research and experience.  But whatever.
