Class of '66 Old Fart

IU Baseball vs Cincinnati - 3/11/20 @ 4:00

Need to re-group after losing at Evansville last night and now having lost 3 in a row our Hoosiers (8-6) are scheduled to host Cincinnati (7-7) this afternoon.  However, earlier this morning Cincinnati suspended spring games according to school and conference representatives.  No idea if this will impact this scheduled game or not.

Surely if our baseball program tweeted half an hour ago all the game day info, we are going to play today.

Today is apparently Grant Richardson day at Bart Kauffman field.  Hoosiers only have 4 hits and 4 runs and Richardson has 2 of the hits and all 4 RBIs.  3-run homer in the 3rd and a run scoring double in the 5th and our Hoosiers lead 4-2.  Litwicki takes the mound to start the 6th inning.  Platt allowed 2 runs on 8 Cincy hits; walked 1 and struckout 4.

Hoosiers (9-6) get a 6-2 win over Cincinnati.  We added 2 more runs in the 8th on a 2-run double by Dunham who upped his consecutive game streak of getting on base to 31 games.  Litwicki pitched 3 innings in relief;  allowed no runs; 3 hits; no walks.  Connor Manous pitched the 9th and set Cincy down in order on just 10 pitches.
