His AAU team tweeted that Xavier Booker will schedule visit with IU tomorrow.  Illinois early next week.  Possible visits to LSU, Northwestern, and DePaul.

As in he will put his June visit in his calendar tomorrow?

Standout 2023 La Lumiere (IN) point guard prospect Jeremy Fears is planning a June visit to Indiana.   Additional info is behind the Rivals paywall and I'm not a subscriber.

From April 30:  Jeremy Fears is currently a 4-star recruit and ranked No. 23 nationally by 247Sports.  That service lists him as the No. 7 point guard in the class.  Even though he's a '23, he's playing 'up' with the Bradley Beal AAU team on the EYBL circuit so hopefully when the EYBL circuit starts we'll be able to get some good stats on him.

From April 29:  Travis Branham of 247Sports on PG Jeremy Fears - Fears hasn't spent much time talking to college coaches given he is a 2023 prospect but his father told 247Sports that Indiana is highly interest and is also receiving interest from Auburn, Michigan, Florida State and UCLA.

Fears sounds decently high on us. Mustve been a nice first impression.

Sounds like they liked us even before Archie called.

“We just like Indiana, just in general, just the brand, and the name and the program,” Fears, Jr.’s father Jeremy Fears, Sr. told The Daily Hoosier.  “The Big Ten, it’s close to home, the atmosphere is electric, especially when they are having a ton of success, just the history behind it, the tradition and everything.  To be honest we just kind of liked Indiana from the jump, even before they started recruiting us.”

The Daily Hoosier  -  Can confirm this report. 2023 big man Cyr Malonga will visit #iubb in early June his AD told me earlier this afternoon.

Rivals says he's 6' 11" and weighs 205 lbs.  Attends Evangel Christian HS in  Louisville.  Lot of red flags (maybe) in this:  https://bluegrasspreps.com/forums/topic/223115-strange-things-afoot-at-louisvilles-evangel-school/

No maybe about it. If you’re gonna play in the gray area, you better do it with guys smart enough to pull it off. Brandon Bender is not 1 of those guys.

Hardest of passes.

Oh hell no.

Thank goodness for the direct G-League route--that seems like the right fit for this situation.

That is one giant young human.  He exudes 'Purdue big man' historically, but hey, who knows?

I would rather think of him as maybe Benson 2.0.   :)

1. Branden Bender is a straight idiot.  Only a grace giving community would give him such a chance.  Looks like he has embarrassed them a few times already.

2.  Evangel Christian academy has been around a very long time.  The school was in disrepair in 2008, economy went south, i thought the school was closing.  Well, fast forward, their original property is across the interstate from one of the countries largest fedex hubs.  I was driving up I-65 last month when I said, "what the heck? Where's evangel?"  Uh fedex bought the property.  Hence brand new gymnasiums, football fields etc.
