The fact we go 10 deep is laughable. Franklin, Smith, TJD, Brunk, Phinny. Only guys that should play meaningful minutes. And you have to throw in Green for another ball handler/hope for shooting. The rest of this team  adds very little value imo.

It's almost comical that nobody on this team can shoot from more than 10 feet.

Green averages fewer assists and more turnovers.  Statistically, Phinisee is what you think Green is.

He also scores more. I acknowledge that Green has issues, but he's more of a threat than Rob. He brings more positively, and unfortunately negatively as well, than Rob.

 

Rob's assists are also juiced from the early games. Since the North Alabama game he has more than 2 assists 1 time

Yeah no justification for it. Even the most talented teams don’t go 10 deep.

I don’t think anyone is thinking help is on the way. Go to that thread and it’s mostly people agreeing that those 3, while not bad players, don’t fix our problems

And yet it is what we all talked about in the offseason. Everyone thought this could be a major issue but Archie seemed to think otherwise....

Positives. Were still in this game despite embarrassing shooting. Tjd is not going pro. I am not knocking his play he just clearly struggles against athletes his caliber

2 things drive me crazy about this system (or lack of execution in it)

1) quit over helping on defense. If ur teammate has his guy locked up on a drive, let them go 1 to 1. Quit leaving ur guy to dump down, to give him a practice jump shot wide open

2) one of main goals is to shoot free throws at a high clip (put fouls on other players at high rate). Ur fn 6'10 and 2 foot from basket... Go up, get fouled. Stop throwing the ball outside. % goes from like 65 down to 30. TAKE THE BALL UP

TJD works his butt off to run straight to the rim and Green just looks at him and prefers to step back and chuck up a 3. He sits the rest of the game if I’m the coach.
