Looks like me before and after quarantine just in reverse.

Waaaait a second...you mean to say that after quarantine you look like the picture of Geronimo on the left?!?

Dang, I look like a picture of the old guy in Waking Ned Devine (random remote movie reference for ya)

What makes you say that? Fear of over training?

Yes.  Simply that.  Since the Crean years I've always felt the program pushes too much too fast on physical transformation (whereas under Crean anyway, we seemingly had little focus on developing mental toughness which I believe is far more important at the college level).

Understandable. But I do trust Cliff Marshall much more than what’s-his-nuts with the prior staff. Marshall knows his stuff and has plenty of experience with elite-level athletes. I think Geronimo is one of those kids who just sprouts muscles just by looking at a barbell anyway.

Man that kid is going to end up on Sportcenter a few times.

Yup. Have said it before and will say it again: that kid’s got a gift. He is gonna make some really exceptional athletes look absolutely ordinary.

Very high on Geronimo, his upside is way up there and he can shoot, we'll be seeing that this season.

I wish Victor Oladipo still played for the Indiana Pacers so he could come back to IU and work with Jordan Geronimo firsthand in private lessons, and show Jordan everything Victor did to become who he was and is, when all of the scouting services had Victor pegged to be an ordinary college basketball player at best.

I have seen and we all have seen Victor posterize Lebron repeatedly in the NBA Playoffs. Wouldn't we all love to see Jordan Geronimo become that level of basketball player? Jordan has that level of possibility, and Jordan is immersed in a higher level of teaching and coaching than Victor had available to him when Victor Oladipo was stomping the earth wearing the IU jersey.

I like that we have Woodson directing now, because Mike Woodson can really mentor our young student athletes from the perspective of a man who just simply dominated Big Ten basketball almost ridiculously when he played for IU. He did that with amazing athleticism, talent, knowledge and respect for the game, and a will to just overpower using all of those tools to get the win, once, twice, three times, play after play.

It could just as easily be Bates, but I am so looking forward to seeing JG's junior season, think he's going to crush it

I ended last season assuming one or both of Race and TJD would depart, and thus JG was a shoe-in for end-of-year conference 2nd or 3rd team honors in ‘23.

I still think he’ll be that good, though the roster may mean he’s an honorable mention, or 6th man of the year, or just one of those dudes who does all the little things on a contender and doesn’t get such recognition.
