As I've said before, I liked Holtman more than Miller during the search.  Wasn't thrilled with the prospect of either one but I liked him more.

Disagree. Remember Holtman went to replace Matta.  They both have that same Butler/Xavier connection and run similar defense and offensive schemes.   The players that Archie has (other than Morgan /McRoberts/ Davis (maybe)) have no ability to shoot nor knew how to play defense.  Give me Archie for right now.  Holtman is great but I’ll stick with Archie.

NBA teams do it all the time. They're 18-22 year olds, they should be fine playing on 1 day of rest, imo. 

I know the NBA does but this is not the league and they still have classes. And most NBA teams have had about the same time off between games, today IU with 1 day OSU with 5. Plus a major majority of college players will never sniff the league.

Nobody was saying his roster was better in the preseason. Facts are, Holtman fairly wins year 1 in a landslide. Hopefully Archie can get him in the future years but rosters looked equal on paper before the season. Actually the edge might have been us by a bit.

This season, more than anything else, is an epitaph to Tom Crean's recruiting prowess (or lack thereof).  No size.  No shooters.  Possibly the worst team I've ever seen at finishing around the bucket.

Unless we snag Romeo or a player of that elite level, the turnaround is going to take a while.
