Yep back in January before we hired Crean I said Archie and Holtman were 1A and 1B that weren’t pipe dreams. OSU got a good one. The only thing I was concerned about with Holtman was he did not have a good track record before Butler. But you could see how good he could be. There were some that only wanted a proven top 5 coach. No biggie, but I feel Holtman and Archie will be the top 2 coaches in the B1G for many years soon.

Still a gut punch since 1) its OSU and Holtmann 2) A significant drop off from the next best PG that we have a shot with

Carton credits the decision to his gut feeling because he felt most at home with the players on the team. He says they brought him in and made him feel the most comfortable.

He said all schools had what he was looking for but his relationship with the players was the difference.

TJD would be bad. But in-state recruiting is the least of my concerns
