Indiana junior all-stars playing the Kentucky junior all-stars.   Starting 5 for the Indiana team:

  • Markus Burton (Penn)
  • Logan Imes (Zionsville)
  • Joey Hart (Linton-Stockton)
  • Myles Colvin (Heritage Christian)
  • Zane Doughty (Ben Davis)

Xavier Booker missing this game due to his participation in the Pangos All-American Camp.

Updates from Brandon Ramsey --

Indiana Junior All-Stars lead Kentucky Junior All-Stars 25-24 with 9:56 to play in the 1st Half.  11-2 run for KY right now. JaQualon Roberts (Bloomington H.S. North) had a good stretch off the bench for IN.  Knocked in a tough wing 3 and finished an alley-oop.

Halftime: Indiana Junior All-Stars 52 Kentucky Junior All-Stars 48 Future Purdue Boilermaker Myles Colvin (Heritage Christian 2023) is playing at a VERY high level. He has 17 points to lead Indiana.

Markus Burton (Penn H.S. 2023) with a pull-up jumper around the free throw line. He now has a team-high 20 points. 12 already this half. 81-69 Indiana with 12:23 to play. If you are unsure because he is “too small” I’d urge you to take another long look at his game.

Baseline three by Logan Imes (Zionsville H.S. 2023), alley-oop finish by Myles Colvin (Heritage Christian 2023), and tough transition finish by Joey Hart (Linton-Stockton H.S. 2023) quiets a run by Kentucky. Indiana Junior All-Stars now lead 102-92 with 4:52 to play.

Final:  Indiana Junior All-Stars 112 Kentucky Junior All-Stars 102.  Markus Burton (Penn H.S. 2023) led all scorers with 24 points in the win. Purdue commit Myles Colvin (Heritage Christian 2023) added 21 points while Penn St. commit Logan Imes (Zionsville H.S.) finished with 18.

Despite not starting, J Q Roberts was the game's leading rebounder with 9.  In addition to the rebounds, Roberts shot 2 for 6, including 1 for 2 from 3-point range, for five points. He also picked up a steal.

Last night's Indiana HS Junior All-Stars vs. Senior All-Stars.    NOTE:  Don't be misled by Xavier Booker's stat line in this game.  He had just returned from his 3-day participation at the Pangos All-American Campo yesterday morning where he was named MVP.  He admitted he was exhausted but wanted to play in this game regardless.

They put on a great, great event. Love it. Only disappointment this year is Bryson Tiller leaving Pace Academy for Overtime Elite.
