I don't like that Toronto is turning him into a spot up shooter. That is not what OG Anunoby is (although he's actually shot the ball well for the year).

It's not?

Shooting was never considered his strong suit, even though it's apparent he's improved it.

He shot 37% from 3 on 75 attempts in college.. not bad at all. Shooting 39% on 115 attempts. I'm not sure where you're coming from with the shooting.. his weakness is his ball handling.

Difference in a capable shooter and a strong shooter. He's capable of hitting the 3 ball. Doesn't mean his best role is to be a spot up shooter primarily. That's wasting his athletic abilities and rebounding/energy on the glass.

OG is going to be great.  You can see his timing and vision is ahead of most people on the court...and he's only a rookie.  Once he gets a dribble drive game he'll be an All Star.  Only downside is with Lowry and DeRozan on the court, he won't get as much of an opportunity to develop that aspect of his game.

OG will have a new coach next year.  ESPN reporting Raptors have fired Dwane Casey.

#1 seed in the East, swept by #4, will apparently do that. It's hard to keep a coaching job these days
