Crean and Glass are both doing the right things in terms of managing the rumors, leaks and gossip.  While someone is in your employ, you don't do anything that that public could get wind of that would point to any loss of confidence in them.  I agree that a coaching move should be made after Indiana plays it's last game.  

The Mizz job isn't going anywhere.  If Crean wants it, he'll get it whether it is tomorrow or a few weeks from now.  In the meantime, in fairness to his players, it is smart to keep things quelled.

His statement when asked about mutual interest. The only time he may have come close to a denial. But...the exact question asked was not printed.

True at the moment the question was asked.

This will be interesting. Crean poses as a man of ultimate integrity. This blanket denial would be a flat out lie if he moves on after the season.

I am willing to give Alford a pass on the iowa situation because i dont know for sure what he knew and i dont know what control iowa officials told him to do. His first big time coaching gig also. It isn't like people dont make up rape cases all the time for stupid reasons so i cant judge him for taking a kids side he may have felt he trusted. I dont think his coaching record is up to par but that one serious incident i dont hate him for. Given iu past it should be considered a major liability and exclude him from being a option imo

The rape aside, having a priest try and intervene to get her to drop it was awful. That was the biggest issue for most at the time. Using that type of a person in an intervention is horrible. That is assuming he is just trying to back his star player which is plenty bad.

Can't both be true? Did he put it to rest? Did I miss him saying I am not interested in Mizzou? Or did he just say "no" to that question and then sort of answered a different question
