(2018) QB Reese Taylor to IU

Recommended Posts

Friday’s 91st Circle City Showdown didn’t have that same level of drama, with undefeated No. 1 Ben Davis rolling to a 45-16 win over the No. 4 visiting Warren Central Warriors.  Taylor scored three rushing touchdowns and threw for two more.  He tallied 45 rushing yards on 12 carries and was 15 of 25 for 246 yds. through the air.

Both schools have lost players to shootings in the past year and after the game Ben Davis coach Mike Kirschner brought both teams to midfield.  Really encourage you to read the Indy Star's write-up of his message.

This young man is putting up impressive numbers every week.

Reese Taylor, Ben Davis

The Ben Davis quarterback finished 15-of-16 with 295 yards and 5 touchdowns in a 41-6 win over Lawrence North. He had three touchdown passes in the first half, including a 60-yard connection with Kesean Tunstill, a 43-yard connection with Broc Thompson and a 39-yard connection with Johnny Adams.

Pretty easy week for Taylor and Ben Davis as they pounded North Central 58-14.  It was 37-0 at halftime so I doubt Taylor played all that much in the second half.  He was 9-12 for 147 yards in passing and only 2 rushes for 2 yds.

Actually he will at least to start the off season and fall camp. IU coaching staff told him he is one of their QB recruits for this class he is no longer their athlete or being recruited as a DB. Coaches have told him he will be given a chance to earn a spot at QB. They want the ball in his hands as much as they can get it there.

He won't play QB.
