@ 80% with some type of support on knee and border line starter playing 20 minutes per game and maybe first coming off bench may be realistic simply to protect her knee and for Grace to make it through the rest of the season limiting setback/s.

    2022/23 IUFB Offseason News

Is IU going to field a football team next year 23? Coaches gravy train. = Have a little success. Get a lucky break. Coach a 4 or 5 more years. Get your pride hurt. Take several millions of $ and move on. Quarterbacks currently at IU injuries or no injuries are good mid major talented.

    2022/23 IUFB Offseason News

IU football had it…. just a few short years ago in IU football program K. Deboer, K. Womack, M. Penix, P. Ramsey that were good football coaches and players that accounted for some success among a few others. Ok all are gone. So IU needed to keep what they had (decision making needed to be able to make that happen). It’s not seen nor happened so now IU football quickly once again is a mess…I do like the new offensive line coach better. Even the kicker is going to leave. Next year will be more of the same except may win even less games in 2023. That’s one hell of a lot of money per win and never solid domination in the physical and skill level even against mid majors. Ohio State loses to Michigan and fans grumble about Day. Wisconsin gets them a new coach (and a good one) IU coach recruits a qb (McCulley a mid major at qb) changes to receiver and mid major at that as well. IU coach is evaluating C.B. and a Dexter Williams injury and other options in off season including recruiting for 2023. IU football moves at a turtle pace while the rest of the league scores a season’s worth of TD’s. Just nothing happening and boring.

Regarding the atmosphere at Vegas…T. Moren stated court had nothing to do with G. Berger injury. She also said that the hotel ballroom atmosphere was different than what was presented when agreement was made to play at the Mirage. For all coaches and players once there were in a damm if you play and damm if you don’t situation. Either decision to play or not play was worse than the other in speaking to how ridiculous the atmospheric arrangement was. Who does in depth screening for these types of games??? Speaking to injuries I am not so sure that set up of this ballroom did not contribute to injuries of not only Grace but Auburn player as well. It was an unserious attempt making it like a playground atmosphere on a playground court in a middle school cafeteria or a street basketball atmosphere. The players had to demonstrate composure to make it a legitimate basketball event. I will remain neutral (though it doesn’t matter) whether this atmosphere was a contributing factor but there were (2) more serious type injuries in this atmosphere set up at the Mirage in as many nights. I know injuries happen on the best courts in the best facilities. Just my analysis.
  5. Both Brown and Geary needed. Grace hopefully can recover in December playing out of injury getting it behind her and not be nagged by it the whole season where she is not near 100 or even 90%. Good point on Scalia. However, getting to final 4 or even elite 8 the 3 ball has to be at a very high level which…Things definitely need to smooth out into a highly efficient machine. Every team says the same thing I suppose.

Mackenzie Holmes…Miss IU…not only in basketball but she is a great example of college student life at the highest level…Like a sister to the university and all those around her.
  8. Injury can happen at any venue called a basketball gym floor. However, After looking at the crowd setting in fold up cafeteria type chairs (probably family members, a couple close friends, and associates) in a hotel Sunday night singles dance type ballroom I am sure somewhere around Vegas there is a place that resembles more of an actual basketball gym that is available.
  9. IU Ladies are good….but how good??? A couple of very solid Vegas wins with continuous improvement inside and outside are much needed. At Tennessee was a great win over a struggling way over ranked lost team. So IU wins this season are over a somewhat weak schedule. Looking at IU Lady basketball schedule regular season should possibly go undefeated. (Handle a press, rebound, and shoot the 3 ball near 40% with defense).
  10. IU Ladies 5-0 including one win over a struggling over ranked Tennessee team. Smooth sailing and happy. Does IU go undefeated during regular season? Have 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 in loss column? If IU Ladies play good defense and could put offensive inside and outside game together each game (after looking at the schedule) an undefeated regular season is not that far fetched.
  11. I don’t think Purdue will be in the middle…kinda in between top and bottom of league.
  12. It’s often a notable “wacky win” for IU football rather than a really somewhat dominant solid win. In this one wacky lopsided dominant statistics in favor of MSU. (except IU did not turn the ball over)
  13. It helps when QB is durable or seems to be durable and quick and fast that at IU can keep himself healthy.
  14. No more than for the players IU football is challenging to say the least. This game and post game is a testament to the hard working commitment, effort, and time that is required from players and coaches.
  15. Michigan State offensive stats vs IU stats However, IU No fumbles.
  16. Well, after Michigan beats Illinois IU football may not be quite as good as Michigan football but today was more than just another moral victory vs Michigan State. Does IU football have the most moral victories in major college football?
  17. A win today gets T. A. off the hot seat for a week. And if IU beats Purdue things would be positive for T. A. going into 2023 season. which leads me to think there would be 1 or 2 more wins (Maryland, Nebraska, Rutgers) in 2022 if coaching staff would have motivated Dexter Williams as starting QB back in August…even though I think there was a question of how hard he worked since he felt he was not going to be the starter and IU depending on passing game which went off the rails. Don’t see how IU beats Purdue?
  18. IU football thinking…So if Illinois beats Michigan and IU football fans slept from Illinois game until today does that mean IU football is better than Michigan football.

    They Fired Tom Allen!

Lacks in recruiting as well like all other IU coaches to play major league. IU often gets many left overs that high level schools don’t want as the nucleus of team but rather back ups.

    They Fired Tom Allen!

Coach Tom Allen wins the lottery (like others). In 2006 T.A. Was a high school teacher and coach. Then, he started his journey through the small college ranks and later had some success on the defensive side of the ball at a couple major colleges. That’s it. In conclusion coach T. A. won a financial lottery at IU. (Tom Crean and Archie Miller) (like many others at various/different places and circumstances others have won similar financial lotteries of their own). (P.S. Even before becoming a head coach T. A. was making good/decent money). T.A. is a financial success for him and his family. I don’t blame him one bit for that. He just took advantage of the opportunity/s presented to him.
  21. Looked at a spectacular play on tv from cream and crimson…oh shoot, it was from Bama.
  22. Some call it luck play…but how often do you see IU football make a so called luck play or unbelievable great play…? Some teams average at least two or three per game to go along with overall high level talented solid play. I can’t remember but did coach T.A. say this year he was going to be more involved with the defense? Defense or offense it doesn’t matter….The writing is on the wall whether it is sooner or later.
  23. Thanks for the post game posts…Todd 41.
  24. Is there any way to post “post game press conferences” on btown banners??? from utube on IU women basketball games…is that possible. I think a healthy Brown and getting some time will play. It must be a serious enough injury that is keeping her from playing. I have always liked a lot her team attitude. Yes T. Moren and staff WANT and are now able to get talented 6’0”+++ bigger and taller guards. Shorter guards have to be extra talented.
  25. I don’t think recruiting talent in football is ignored at IU (I think IU tries to get very high level talent) but the high level talent in most cases will not come to IU but go to a higher level football programs. There is an exception here and there. This leaves IU football lacking in most positions considering the high level schedule they play. Then, throw in lack of player development. However, often a 3 star player (just lacks just a little in ability, skill, speed, etc) tries to develop into a 4 star type player while a 4 star player (with just a little more ability, skill, speed, bigger and better etc) tries to develop into a 5 star player. This equals a losing IU football program because many IU players just lacked and still lack just a little to play in a higher winning level program so often they become an important player at IU. There are a few exceptions but not enough to make IU football a high level team to play major league football.
