93% of 948 faculty voted no confidence, there's a lot going on here.

As mentioned I don't want to go into what I know on a message board, but here is some additional published info from the H-T reflecting lack of transparency, lack of appropriate (including required) inclusion of faculty in certain decision-making and governance policies:
On Mar. 27, more than 200 faculty members signed a petition calling for a special meeting to hold a vote of no confidence against Docherty, Shrivastav and Whitten. The petition centered around the administration “encroaching on both academic freedom and shared governance.”
Key examples included Docherty’s suspension of professor Abdulkader Sinno without a hearing from the Faculty Misconduct Review Committee, the administration’s cancellation of Palestinian artist Samia Halaby’s exhibit at the Eskenazi Museum of Art, the administration’s handling of controversial Senate Bill 202 (which restructured the tenure process at Indiana public universities), their rescinded attempt to sever the Kinsey Institute into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and their refusal to publicly defend faculty member Dr. Caitlin Bernard against Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita after he questioned her medical credentials for performing an abortion for an Ohio rape victim.
Sinno said the administration’s flippancy toward shared governance policies demonstrates the current administration is unfit to lead a major research university.
“I’ve had disagreements with administrations in the past, but we all, them and I, respected policies,” Sinno said. “This administration has no respect for policies or the values of Indiana University.”
 

I don't think it's a big deal. I've been through the recruiting process for work a few times. Pretty similar process to us bringing in players. They put you up in a nice hotel, get the serious stuff and interviews done during the day, and then take you out to a nice dinner. People typically have a drink or two at the dinner.
I think a recruit going to the Bluebird on a recruiting visit is basically the college kid equivalent of me having a drink at Ruth's Chris. 

He and Essegian were with the entire staff at the Uptown for breakfast this morning.

I can't think of a more "under the radar" Top 20-25 kid that we have signed.... 
Using MCDAA's that we have signed since 2011---- (I counted Kel'el's FR at Ore, which was BY far the worst MCDAA FR season in the grouping)... 
Zeller, Yogi, Vonleh, Blackmon, Bryant, Langford, TJD, Ware, MM (pretty freaking good list, btw)
Their avgs came out to be-- 12p 6r 2a -- I understand that data really has nothing to do with Tucker, but even 8-9ppg avg out of Tucker with what else we have... could be huge! 

I love that video! Of course, Ima kinda cheesy myself.

Rivals released its final ranking for the '24 class and Tucker is #20.

For the good of one and all, let’s generally agree to keep this thread about IU portal possibilities and much less about assessment of former posters and twitterers identities. We have a thread already set up for that purpose.

However you slice it almost a thousand faculty took the time to vote on this no confidence point and 93% of them voted no confidence. For context the last time there was a no confidence vote, I think it was Herbert, and something like 500 faculty voted.
 
The backbending to minimize appx 950 faculty voting no confidence is kind of comical. It’s clearly significant.
Side note, I have no dog in this inter-college fight, it just strikes me as kind of comical to see people calling out 948 profs when they have no idea what their complaints are, but call them entitled anyway. Oh well.

It seems as though the aggrieved were motivated, but the proponents of Pres Whitten among faculty were really hard to find.
