I’m not sure what they consider “courtside” vs “bleechers”. If we’re talking front row on the court w padded chairs, 75-100 seats tops. There’s only 4 rows of bleachers (sections 3,4,8&9) on the court 400 or so seats at most…I’d hope they aren’t counting behind the basket as $100 “bleecher” seats. Do they release any info on how much of ticket sales go to the players? The cost to open AH with adequate security and cleaning crews is a ton of money. Concessions wouldn’t come close to covering that expense so unless event costs are being donated this isnt going to generate anything close to $15k per player

I guess you have to look at it a bit differently if justifying the expense is an issue. This is just as much for the fans as it is to support the guys on the team. $25 to entertain you with a $25 tip to the players to reward them for the hard work they put in. Kinda like paying $200 a plate at a charity gala knowing your dinner and drinks are only worth $100.

Phin absolutely can shoot. He just hasn’t shown it consistently yet. That has a lot to do with confidence, being put in the right position on the court and late in game, stamina. No one can shoot under Archie’s offense. I’ll hold off judgment until I see how our guys mesh under this new system

Being vaccinated doesn’t prevent you from testing positive. It happens to athletes all the time and they (and those in direct contact with them) have to sit out a week

I don’t understand it either. It’s half a$$ed and thrown together last minute. I absolutely hate the idea of putting fans within arms length of our guys during a pandemic. This has “half the team in covid protocal” written all over it. They should have replaced Hoosier Hysteria with this and planned it out so fans could make arrangements to attend and the program could set up covid friendly pods (which they may still do) to prevent covid spread to the team.

$20 a ticket would do little more than cover the expenses for the event. If they’re gonna do this, it needs to generate actual income for the guys on the team.

Random fans posting cringey nonsense is a far cry from IU cosigning on this guy’s cringeworthy behavior. This isn’t about dumb posts or tweets. It’s about a guy who’s given access to the program and it’s recruiting and making a total a$$ of himself, this university and the sports programs he posts content about. 17-18 year old kids are going to be put off by the notion that they’d be obligated to put up with and interact with these guys and they’ll have NIL opportunities everywhere. These clowns also haven’t produced a single dime for IUs athletes on record. Saying they’re doing something to benefit student athletes and actually doing it are not the same thing. There’s no reason to put up with this. Either make him clean up his douchey act or ban him from the program. It’s very simple

Defending these guys is weird. Neither of them are the “massive success” some posters are trying to claim. By LA standards, Eric is the equivalent of upper level corporate management…not some generational wealth earning booster with deep connections. Being able to name drop James Cordon and show off his primetime Emmy isn’t cool enough to potential recruits to outweigh the creepy/weird behavior he displays. Also, as someone who enjoys cigars I find his incessant parading of his lit stoogies bizarre. We get it, you smoke cigars…you don’t have to act like a 16 year old who just swiped one out of your dad’s humidor undetected to film your lame tik tok

I don’t care if it’s girls vs guys, you scrimmage. I feel bad for whoever took the time to show up only to see a lame dunk contest and 3pt shooting practice. Did the girls team at least play a game? -

I was pretty impressed all things considered. Still hate the soft zone coverage schemes but that’s on the staff. We lose a TON on defense next year. Sad to see this year wasted by inept coaching with an absolute joke of an offensive line -

I’ll reserve any judgment of Tuttle until he’s put in the position of getting 1st team reps. I expect that kind of miscommunication from a guy who’s coming off the bench. I have no way of knowing how Penix performs in practice but in actual games, he’s not even close to as good as Tuttle. Coaching staff needs to step up and make the correct decision -

CTA sure thought it was but who knows. Regardless, there was a safety helping on a covered receiver…gotta check down to someone else -

Can’t argue with that. Be mad at the result but first and foremost, be an adult and never cheer an injury to a kid -

Fryfogle is absolutely broken. Kid must have the yips or something. Either way, coaches need to coach. What you did last year doesn’t matter and if he can’t get it done, put someone else in. If Stephen Carr had 5 fumbles at this point he’d be on the scout team…which is where Fryfogle belongs -

Jesus H Christ, if that hit takes you out of the game football just isn’t for you. Hate to see a kid go down but enough is enough. -

Honestly, it’s pretty funny that PSU keeps punting. We have zero ability to stop them on 4th down -

In fairness, he had no time there. I hate calling for people’s jobs but Hiller isn’t worth the charmin double soft he wipes his butt with. If CTA can’t see that, then his part of the problem. -

It’s impossible to know if Penix sucks or not. He obviously can’t shine this turd on his own. I’m not sure Tuttle could do anything different. When your O Line cant block and your WRs can’t get open, there’s really nothing the QB can do -

KzooHoosier82 replied to Hovadipo's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
This is dumb. If you’re not going to coach what are you getting paid for? Nothing is working on offense yet we keep running the same sets. The O Line can’t run block. WRs can’t run crisp routes and get separation. Penix doesn’t have time to get through his progressions nor can he run so he throws half his balls out of play. This is a complete failure and our dipsh*t staff has zero answers -

If Logan and TJD are listed at 6’9 (so probably measure 6’8), there’s no way Durr is 7’. He looks the same height as Logan and both are no more than an inch taller than TJD
