Yea or Nay: give seniors another year of eligibility?

Would be pretty nice to get Brenna Wise back for another year to add with our transfer becoming eligible for the women’s team though wouldn’t it? Although, UCONN has five seniors I wouldn’t want to have to potentially encounter in their fifth year combined with the four McD’s All-American freshman coming to Storrs in the Fall. That would be a gluttony of riches.

PC Stellar simmed Big Ten tournament

I’ve literally got nothing to do and not a single sport to watch right now. So yeah, I’d be willing to be in for this.

@Uspshoosier do you have any knowledge of whether the selection committee is continuing to meet, or if the talk that they may still proceed with revealing the brackets on Sunday has any legs at all?

PC Stellar simmed Big Ten tournament

Love this and it makes me wish we could have seen the outcome of the actual game. But have to ask about a few of the results: -Justin Smith 7/13 from the field for 16 points?? Maybe 7 out of 13 times driving to the basket he was able to maintain control of the ball going up, but that’s a little aggressive a field goal percentage based on his case of “softiosis” lately. -Al going for 19? Would that be a season high? -Honest question, has IU won a game this year in which Devonte Green scores 2 points or less? I feel like if we were going to beat a top 25 team on a neutral court “good Devonte” would have to be a bigger contributor no? Fun to play what-if, since we have literally nothing to look forward to and can only guess how it may have been.

In all sincerity, I feel for you and your struggles with mental health. Depression is an agonizing battle everyday and I hope you find things to help you through. Don’t hesitate to reach out to me or anyone else on this board of you need someone to talk to or just occupy your mind for a few minutes. You’re never alone. Less sincerely (but kind of sincere at the same time) if you live in the Hoosier state, recreational cannabis is just a couple hours drive away for some more reliable therapy than talking Hoosiers basketball with us armchair analysts. :)
  6. It’s okay. I’m not trying to change minds or be the word on this at all. It’s fluid and could change at any moment. But putting other views of the reality of this situation out there even if it doesn’t make an impact, at least evens out the conversation so it isn’t completely one-sided and folks get some perspective, no matter how minimal. Everyone be safe, do what you think is best for yourself and your families. But try to let things play out and remember statistics can be made to support almost any narrative. Try not to focus on any single one and look at the entirety of the information available to base your opinions. Respect everyone on this board and hope for the best for everyone, sincerely.
  7. Any expert whose opinion is worth anything, would not be anywhere close to willing to provide an estimate or projection on mortality rate without sample size and statistically significant data (neither of which we have). If I roll dice three times and get 4 twice, and tell you the chances of dice rolled being 4 is 66% you would not call me an expert on dice. This is hyperbole, but about where we are with the amount of data they have on this virus. About three rolls of the dice. Still serious. Don’t take this lightly. My opinion only. All the other disclaimers.

That was a big shot. Had a little “Jordan in game 6 against the Jazz” to it, with the little push off and the defender flying by so he good bury it and leave the hand in the air for the pose. Ha. Great game.

Xavier’s bubble bursting as a result?

USPS, you gonna be alright if tonight is the last day of college basketball until Fall? Not gonna lie, you were the first person I thought of when people started talking about the season being over. Ha. I don’t want you to succumb to heartbreak.

So, assuming (big assumption) they have a Big Dance, Stanford’s bubble burst today and Xavier’s is close to bursting down 3 late to DePaul. I think we always were, but now we have to be safely in, and not even in consideration for the play-in game in my opinion.
  12. Although as I think about it, kind of a strange move to not shake a hand after 40 minutes of rubbing against each other’s sweaty bodies right??
  13. Everyone see the bench just wave to the Nebraska team after the game? Clearly word made it to the staff about Hoiberg. Not taking any chances.
  14. Somebody asked earlier if there was any big in the conference Brunk can guard. Answer might be no, in the basketball conference or the football conference.
  15. Correct me if I’m wrong, but after tonight we will be 3-0 on neutral courts right? Sooo.
  16. Honestly, would not shock me one bit.
  17. Those who know me on here know I love me some Devonte Green. Play until they won’t let you anymore this March kid.
  18. You can see the footage on the front page of the ESPN app. Announcer made an announcement to the crowd “game has been postponed. You are not in any danger, but please find the exits in an orderly fashion.” Yeah, that wouldn’t alarm me at all after the teams and coaches were rushed off the court.
  19. Things are about to get surly. Calls to “Cancel Everything.” Literally. https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2020/03/coronavirus-cancel-everything/607675/
  20. 11-0 run with three of our starting five on the bench. My season long stance continues. I hate our starting five on the floor together.
  21. We are, uh... we’re not good. Nope.

I wonder what effect the virus-related stuff will have on seedlings if at all. We might sneak into hosting a couple games of places like Spokane are in high-risk areas where even traveling to the city could be considered a threat to the teams visiting for the tourney.

If you like missed 3’s you should tune into this Miami/Clemson game. Teams are a combined 8 for 39 from distance. Loser becomes ineligible for the NIT, so kind of an appropriate display by the two.
