Has he ever shot 5 times in a game in an IU uniform?

We define playing well differently. I watch his man blow past him, I watch him pass up open shots, He can't handle the ball, and doesn't rebound very well. He does communicate well so I'll give him that. Hopefully, he goes to Evansville or some place like that and has a nice last season.

Maybe Nick Saban can make it make sense for some people.

Leal is like the backup QB for a crappy team. Fans are always like put in the backup and see what he can do. He can't do any worse. Well, actually he can. The other team starts to expose you the more you play backup players.

Not bashing him but I thought he had a little more offensive game coming in. After watching him play half the season I think he deserves4-5 minutes a game if that.

Driving 90 was not OK. The rest is kind of all blah to me. I still think he should be suspended one game but more because we need to do something to him, not because of anything else. I'm not sure what contempt for authority even is. I'm guessing I've been doing that most of my life.

For the longest time, we were only recruiting 3 guys so not sure how we were going to get 4 or 5. Fland, Mcneely, and Queen. We got one, missed one, and in the final two for the other who is deciding next month. Since then we have opened our recruitment to Brown, Sanon and Davis

Not a fan of the player or family. I'm not a fan of Xavier Johnson and have said it many times on here. I think he should be suspended for Friday night. But the holy IU fans that want to kick him off the team for a nut job but cheered with Michael Lewis throwing the ball off people's faces or Dane Fife was biting guys on the floor and tripping them. Yes I know X has had other problems in the cell phone era but these guys did some of the same stuff. I had many IU players drinking at my parties in the 90's who were not 21. We're so fast to judge anymore

As I said I'm just not a fan. Evans the person is a lot like the player. He cares about himself. The first bit of adversity he's the first person saying burn it down and start over. Then 2-3 years later he's back out there saying burn it down, start over. Believe me, he's not putting up the money to buy a coach out or paying money for the new coach or NIL money. I'm not sure any of the guys he played with, still like him. I know one for sure that doesn't.

I'm sure Evans did a good job, I'm not wasting my time listening to him. I just wonder why he is the person the media always goes to talk down about a coach. or a player or the program. He loves IU, but he sent his kids to different schools. Just glad they got him in the afternoon before he got going. Wonder if he is still begging companies to hire his family. Sorry just not a fan.

Have you spoken to Quinn Buckner? He loved this hire along with Isiah. Quinn, Scott, and Terri need to sit him down & say you don't need this anymore. You don't need the long hours, the plane trips, the AAU tournaments. Spend the rest of the time rooting on the next coach, playing golf, smoking cigars, sipping wine, and enjoying your new grandbaby. Thos are the only people he is going to listen to, along with his daughters.

You are 100% correct. You lose more than just the money. Connections to the NBA, business world, and many other things. Crean lost HS connections, Archie as you said didn't have former players on his side. A lot goes into these decisions. I'm not just saying older players donate. VO, Cody, and Jefferies are all younger guys, will they continue? Hopefully but we just don't know

Under Mike Woodson, it has been considerable. People who don't have money or donate like the Leary's and Evans complain in public.

I think it's fair to say that no matter how the season ends, there is going to be a serious discussion between a trustee, an AD, and the head coach. I don't think it will be your fired, but more of this isn't the direction we like for the program to be heading. We need something drastic to change next season or we will move in another direction.

Money is the answer. I'm not happy with Woodson, I just don't think you let him go yet.

It's not Beard's first offense either. That's why a lot of schools passed on him before Texas brought him home. Alcohol, violence, and domestic abuse. But kick the kid off for nutting someone and driving fast. As I said I wouldn't play Xavier next game. I'm sick of his crap but Beard is a huge red flag for me

Agreed. Plus a lot of ex-players donate a lot of NIL money. Plus Cuban is very close with a couple of them.
