If Brad wants to come, I’d like to know the likelihood that he does it before he finishes his season at Boston. If Ainge approaches him about the elephant in the room and makes it a mutual split if he thinks Brads heart/mind are elsewhere then what are the chances Brad comes to IU sooner than having to finish out 33 more regular season NBA games...

I think if Danny did indeed make the approach and told Brad he should do it if it’s where his heart/mind is and wanted to avoid any distractions then it’d make it easier for Brad to come.

I agree that Brad most likely will not be fired from the Celtics. The thing that I wonder could be a possibility is Danny Ainge coming to Brad and just saying something along the lines of “hey listen, obviously this IU job has come up and your name is all over it. If you think that’s something where your heart and mind are, then maybe you should just go. If your mind is elsewhere then we don’t want any unnecessary distractions the rest of the season”, and then they just mutually part ways so that Brad can come home.....I mean I’m sure I’m dreaming with that scenario, but heck.

Celtics still have 33 games left to play in the regular season...I sure don’t want to have to wait at least that long to have to find out whether he’s our guy.

I’m wondering if Stevens has given Dolson a verbal yes and now Brad is just trying to dance around the questions being asked. I thought I saw someone say that Dolson was given a verbal commitment from someone....

Gosh I want Brad before the NBA season ends...I mean I understand waiting and am fine with waiting if it means we ultimately get what we want, but I’m too giddy to want to wait to find out lol

Dangit, Brad. After seeing that clip, how about you just come on home now so we can all give you a big ‘ol hug and say welcome back home...someone else can finish the NBA season for you. They can get over it. You’ll have plenty of love and praise here to make you not care one bit about the Boston fans who give you heck.

And I think Brad would certainly be smart and savvy enough to answer “I am not” to their “is that what you’re telling us?”, and they not even realize what he just did haha. So that definitely does make it interesting.

Yeah that’d be great. If that happened to pan out and be the case, they’d be able to announce that he will be our next coach before the NBA season ended right?

If Brad does end up being the guy, any chance he comes to Bloomington to get things rolling before his season is over in Boston?

True I’m sure he didn’t flat out tell them who he’s getting to make sure stuff doesn’t leak.

Dolson said in his press conference that he had met with the current players as well as Logan Duncomb and his dad. My wondering if Dolson does indeed have his guy lined up if he would have given the players the heads up of who it’s going to be so that they had an idea of who will be their coach. Maybe, maybe not.

The thing I’m wondering is let’s say it is indeed Stevens, would they announce that before he’s done with his NBA season, or no way?

Let’s get this right so I can grow old seeing the same successful coach on the bench.

I will indeed say that when we first got Archie I was pretty pumped and thought that all he needed was IU’s resources and he’d do well, but definitely turned out to be wrong. I wish him the best, but this job was too much for him and he couldn’t figure it out. He’ll be successful at a school with much less expectations than we desire here at IU. Glad to see us being serious and getting rid of him though.

If the news has officially come out, then Dolson has to know who his guy is at this point right? Or not necessarily and he just knew he was getting rid of Archie regardless of who he ends up getting?

My heart is racing...is this excitement on par with my children being born?! I kid I kid

So you think if we do our homework to find someone better, will it for sure ultimately result in Archie being gone, or will Archie remain if certain targets aren’t interested? I didn’t know if it’d be a matter of him returning if we don’t hit our target, or will we just go down the list and it be someone other than Archie regardless.
