    Yes, Ware would be 7.

    Open

    Johnson

    Walker

    Ware

    Sparks

    Banks

    Gunn

Possibly MgBako's spot too.  That would leave us with Leal, Cupps, Reneau, Galloway, and Newton as returning scholarship players.

I read somewhere that Woodson said the play was designed to get Reneau or Johnson the shot.

Well then that's just dumb then unless you are getting Reneau or X a layup.  Ware had great position but definitely possible he did that on his own as opposed to how Woodson drew the play up.

PSU's only tall player had fouled out.  How do you not run a play for Ware in that situation?  It worked out, but I think Ware would have been the better option.

I just watched the play again.  The play was clearly drawn up for Ware, he had his defender pinned down low and Malik just didn't pass him the ball and instead forced up a tough shot.

  4. Crazy thing is if we had finished the comeback against Northwestern last month, IU would have been in a 3 way tie for 4th and had the tiebreakers over them and Wisconsin.  That's how weak the Big Ten is this season.  This bad IU team was a close 4 point loss away from having a double bye.

Watching AC. Tonsoni is hosting with X's and Joe's and he is visibly livid right now. He's drinking Gumball Head (solid choice) and Jack Daniel's lol. Tonsoni is so freaking over it all and I love it.

I like Tonsoni he always tells it like it is. Is Jerod Morris on too? He seems like a great guy but he’s always making excuses for the team when things go wrong. He’s definitely a glass half full person when it comes to IUBB.

Strange:  if IU beats Michigan state, the Hoosiers would be 4-8 in quad 1 games and 5-4 in quad 2.  The Spartans would be 4-8 and 5-5….you the difference in net would be about 70 spots.

If I am understanding correctly, I think getting blow out so many times is hurting the NET a lot.  Most of IU's losses have been by large margins.

From what it sounds like the family that wanted to keep Woody here a 4th year and employs QB has agreed to put more money into our NIL efforts. They are going to give Woody every chance to get the players he wants in this portal.

If they had done that last year we probably would have landed Dalton Knecht, in the top 3 of the conference, and nobody would be talking about Woody losing his job.

Why wouldn’t Mgbako head over to Duke if he was going to do the college thing?

I'd be surprised if he went to Duke after asking out of his LOI there last spring

  9. Can't imagine Banks sticking around.  I actually forgot he was on the team until he got subbed into the game in the final minute last night.  Crazy that he was getting some playing time in the tournament last season and making some nice hustle plays for us.  When he was playing a littler earlier this year he looked like he had no idea what sport he was playing.

I am at a loss, I just don't understand how there can be so many in the media jumping aboard the let's move on train, all of the smoke flaming from "insiders," and not have one single statement from Dolson, Buckner, or anyone at IU. Just an article by Osterman? I have come to terms that he will be back next year, but nothing about what has transgressed in the last 24 hours makes any sense. I'm not on Peegs, but to hear everything that was coming out from him, then to hear the podcast he did right before the game last night, you would have never believed he said any of that stuff. As a late arrival to the dump Woody train, I feel a little bushwhacked :107:

It's almost as if the media and "insiders" made the story to be more than it was.  Woodson wasn't going anywhere, IU just only announced he was coming back next year to put an end to the rumors.  In a year or two he will ride off into the sunset on his terms which was always the plan.

I haven't read through all this thread recently so I'm not sure where the rumors are coming from.  I'm being told there could be a small shakeup with the coaching staff, but Woodson isn't going anywhere after this season unless he decides to step down which would be a surprise.  His plan was always 4-5 years and then retirement and his buyout makes it unlikely he is removed as coach after this season.

Maybe he sees the writing on the wall and decides to step down early but he is pretty oblivious to just how much people want him out at this time.

Hate to say I told you so but…

I would think it would be hard to get new assistant coaches if your a lame duck coach.

Not really, Woody has a lot of good friends that would love a highly paid job for a year.  It's not like he makes his assistants work the recruiting trail that hard.

That naive, arrogant, stupid??? All of the above??? Wins and losses aside, those KenPom and NET ratings are all one needs to know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It mainly arrogance and lack of caring about the outside noise.  Woodson is comfortable in who he is which is a great trait to have, but he is completely oblivious to what is being said on social media and these boards.

Saw on the other board that someone said Trilly mentioned that Quinn hired Archie last time and it wasn't Fred's pick. I'm curious who was Fred's pick other than Donovan. I'm also surprised we didn't get Woody then since he wanted the job back when we got Archie. Was Archie the compromise choice ?

I know Fred was also interested in Chris Holtmann at the time.  No one really thought Archie was going to be a bad hire, but the Donovan possibility was real and had everyone excited.

Is it gaming talk or UK basketball?

I can't believe he has that many people following him

Gaming, UK basketball, and lots of fast food/snack reviews.  One of them is from last week him trying out Oreo Cakesters and the title of the video is "These Make Me Tingle Inside"

I will be honest I get all of my info from Causal Gamer Reed. If anyone knows who that is you get bonus points.

It looks like he still posts on YouTube multiple times a day and has 235K subscribers

Can we not do this... don't need to bring religion into the mix - pro or con... just get the best basketball coach who can fix/resurrect the Indiana program and move the religion discussion in the "positive only" thread.

Absolutely agree, just saying I disagree with the former player.  Just hire the best coach period if Woody does leave.

At one time I had heard we did or were going to. But never heard anything else. The Pearl stuff has just overtaken everything. Everyone is so on Pearl, Dolson could line up Phil Jackson and people wouldn't know.

I do know that the super sub former player who owns a restaurant here in town has been pushing Drew to Dolson. He wants him because he's a "good Christian coach"

So would this former player be against hiring Bruce Pearl or Josh Schertz since both are Jewish?

Hearing nothing has changed from what I posted last Thursday.  I'm still hoping Woody can actually see the writing on the wall and can step down in a couple weeks instead of his plans of a year or two from now.  In the meantime he has a round of golf to play in between getting ready for Minnesota on Wednesday.
