There’s nothing appealing about IU right now. Not surprised that instate prospects are looking elsewhere.

He didn’t get much time. But he was a good rebounder and could block some shots. Had great length and athleticism. Wasn’t good on the offensive end. But would be good to throw some lobs to. Problem is, we don’t have any player development. So any diamond in the rough likely won’t be found here.

He hasn’t looked good since the beginning of last season. This could just be who he is now.

Tied at 91 in rebounding
111 in FG%
116 in 3PT FG%
 
We've held opposing offenses in check the last couple games, but on the year our defense has been far from fine.

If he completely whiffs on the 2021 class... it’s over for him.

Uhhh...he recruited almost all of the players who shot 4/36 outside of the paint.

How would that screw any continuity? Neither player had ever played for either school. And guess what? Wright still didn’t go to Dayton.

How dare I be negative in the Unbridled Negativity Thread.

I’ve wanted so bad to like Archie and for him to be the guy, but there are just too many red flags that refuse to go away. I also thought it was really telling reading that article (can’t remember when it was released, maybe someone can find it) asking opinions of coaches in the conference anonymously, and Archie was mentioned as one of 2-3 coaches that were easiest to gameplan against/that other coaches wanted to stay at their schools. 

I think it’s odd no matter what that people think Archie will magically coach a really good offense just because of some shooters. He never coached a good offense at Dayton. And we can’t expect 3 freshman to fix all of our shooting problems. Which contradicts what so many here want. They want to get old and stay old but then expect freshman to fix all the problems.

This doesn’t make any sense. Why should Penn State and Rutgers have to be bad forever? Should they not try to be competitive? Should IU football stink eternally so Michigan, Ohio State, and Penn State can have a guaranteed win? The rich shouldn’t be assured of staying rich just because they have been rich in the past.

There's an equal but opposite reaction after wins from the pumpers.  What a fractured fanbase we've become 

6 road wins under Archie? 6? That’s not a good number.

This doesn’t make any sense. Why should Penn State and Rutgers have to be bad forever? Should they not try to be competitive? You kinda have to be able to recruit at a high level if you want to compete at the highest level. Our recruiting has sucked under Archie. It’s average at best.

If we win I give credit where it is due. But one win over Ohio State was going to change my mind on Archie. He’s not good enough for this job.

Coach O brought in a guy named Joe Brady to be the passing game coordinator. That’s what changed for LSU. That’s who made Joe Burrow into the Joe Burrow we saw. Is Archie going to bring in a guy to be the offensive coach? No.

The sad thing is that there are much better academic schools out there that also destroy us athletically. So really we're a nothing school.

Steve Pikell at effing Rutgers has built a better basketball program than IU. That is where things are right now. It took a massive institutional failure to bring about the current state of affairs.

and Hanner, Stan the Man, Max Power, Jeremiah April and shipped off some 4-year guys like Abell. The Ryan era hasn't been good, but let's not act like everything Crean did even ignoring years 1-3 were gold.

But after everyone figured out he couldn't win with elite talent recruiting dryed up

Probably the higher scoring one but to be honest I want recruits who want to win and at this point I question why any recruit would feel confident that will happen here.
