(2019) SF Trendon Watford to LSU
goonaha replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
IU just offered. -
There's been rumors during the spring that he would transfer to a St. Louis area high school this coming fall. Leaving a St. Louis based AAU team throws that up in the air.

Player and Recruit Retention News/Discussion & Potential Transfers
goonaha replied to Brass Cannon's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
And my opinion was that the take I quoted was very hot. What is your point exactly? My opinion is not allowed to be "I think your opinion is a little over the top"? The other funny thing about the "Social media is the worst thing to ever happen" take (other than war, famine, poverty, racism, etc. existing in the world) is that it was delivered on an online message board, which is a type of media on which people interact socially. -

Jeremiah Tilmon signed a financial aid agreement with Mizzou today. That was the long rumored destination after the Illinois decommitment. Certainly an "interesting" recruitment. -
(2018) PG Darius Garland to Vandy
goonaha replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Garland recently listed Indiana, Vanderbilt, and Duke as top schools. The scout article also listed Tennessee, UCLA, and Ohio state but he only talked about the first three. Has to be a good sign for us. 'Archie Miller and his staff have made it a point to recruit Garland very hard since getting to Bloomington. About the Hoosiers, Garland said, "We have built a relationship really fast. They just got in and they have made me a priority, and I think Coach Miller is going to do really well, so it is a school I’m very interested in."' Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

Do you live your own life with such absolutes? I'm sorry that his transition from 18 years old to 19 years old didn't impress you enough. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

Obviously you disagree since you quoted me. But thanks for letting me know explicitly. Unfortunately, Thomas can't go back and change how the season went. Hence, he's trying to use that poor season as a learning opportunity and take some positive out of it. That's how life works in general, which was my original point. I don't get why this is such a bad thing or why it should incite another body language referendum. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

Like I already said, facing adversity and failure is a learning experience for people. Or at least should be. And I believe that's what he was saying. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

You can condition your support based on how much a player won in school. I won't do that, but that's your prerogative and wasn't even my point. My point was related to the people cracking jokes based off Thomas's comments when it's pretty obvious what he meant. -

I am sure nobody on this board failed at something aged 19. And I'm positive none of you look back on any failures in your life as a learning experience that eventually made you a better person. -

Pure conjecture. You can't substantiate anything because you do not know RoJo. If he wants to get out of Btown so bad I find it odd that he is still on campus as of Tuesday night. Secondly, thinking that a random grad transfer will for some reason play harder than someone who has been here for 3 years is also pure conjecture. -

Save the hysterics for when a decision is actually made. No point in declaring college basketball dead because a kid left a year early instead of playing for a coach he doesn't know. -

Player and Recruit Retention News/Discussion & Potential Transfers
goonaha replied to Brass Cannon's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I'd suggest looking at second round picks from the last few drafts before emphatically saying no or that there's a 0% chance. Crazier things have happened than taking a flier on a great college scorer who you expect to shoot 40+% from 3 as a pro. -
Player and Recruit Retention News/Discussion & Potential Transfers
goonaha replied to Brass Cannon's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
If that's the case then there's still a high risk that a team tells Blackmon that they will draft him in the second round or sign him as an undrafted free agent a la Troy and Yogi. Shooting is always a valuable commodity, regardless of defensive capabilities. As much as I love RoJo, I don't see that type of guarantee being made to him. -

Seeing as how neither RoJo nor JBJ got invited to the combine, shouldn't we hear soon about their decision? How much more feedback can they get without attending the combine? Can they do individual workouts with teams up until the May 26th deadline / is that within the rules? -
