Stojakovic, the son of Peja Stojakovic, is another prospect making headlines with Compton Magic. Few players on the 3SSB circuit helped themselves more in session one as Stojakovic walked away with new offers from Washington State, Indiana, Tennessee, UConn, Kansas, Florida, Texas, and Oregon among others. He came into the spring just outside the 247Sports top 100, but should see his ranking rise alongside his recruitment if session one was any indication.
What am I watching for this weekend? This is my first-time seeing Stojakovic live this year. I’ve seen the film, and it’s impressive, but I’m going in with no pre-conceived notions, excited to see how he looks and moves in live action against top competition.

Indiana was a better basketball team with JG on the floor last year.  Call him whatever you want but he needs to be on the floor more next year. 

Honestly it’s just about positional understanding with JG, that really should be obvious to anyone critiquing his perimeter D. He started bball late, he came to IU still raw despite making big leaps in his game in NH and getting late recruiting bc of it. He has all the tools and i think everyone here agrees made big strides his soph year in positioning, defensive reads, and play around the basket/rebounding along with elite shot blocking. But perimeter D includes switches, understanding offensive sets initiated up top, reacting to inside out and p & r / p & p, and playing almost entirely the 4 for Race his lack of experience at the college wing showed —
But it’s crazy to me to talk about him as a poor perimeter defender without even bothering to note any of that. His lateral quickness, length, speed, defensive tenacity generally (exceptional), timing on blocks - including, hello, 3-pointers, is clear. A guy like Kopp has literally none of that, none. What Kopp has is experience on the wing for defensive reads. His effort also is good. But zero speed, athleticism, length, hops etc. On a Crean team JG would’ve gotten a ton of time early and i would bet a million it would’ve included wing play. So CAM was just awful, and Woodson required experience and proven defensive progress before real time, acknowledged that his assistants were yelling at him in a game to put JG in, and he then dominated, then later said in the tourney that he “discovered” a guy on his bench in JG and played him extensively (finally) and golly, JG was outstanding in the tourney. He is primed to have a major role as he should next season, and i’d bank on dominant offensive showings from him whether he’s playing a traditional 4 (would like to see that with Race) or on the “wing”

We had a walk-on play before Logan this year. He may not be ready and may need another year which happens in college basketball, yes.
Sure he was ranked nicely but from our history, we know rankings really don't mean anything.
If Woodson is playing a walk-on before a scholarship player, we may have a problem. 
I rather "Crean" Logan than Leal. Leal is the hometown kid, indiana fan growing up. We can't play everyone but Leal is the culture kid you need in your program. 

Broken a 9 game losing streak against Purdue and Michigan, made it to semifinals of BTT, made it to NCAAT, kept TJD, brought in 2 5* players in the same class….

I’m not big on Dennis but I’m intrigued by McNeil. A bunch of solid schools want him. 37% from 3 last year and 39% from 3 the year before on good volume. Outstanding free throw shooter. He did it in the Big 12. He was a starter on a tournament team in 2021. I think he fills a hole we had last season.

We are currently at thirteen and that includes Trayce. If we add any more players someone will have to leave. Apparently at most two players, though I doubt it'll be two slots.
I don't like suggesting current IU players that should go by name. I'll say this though. Anthony Leal is as true-blue and dedicated to Indiana basketball as possible. He should never feel he is not wanted at IU.

Man, I’m so pumped for this. I have had my doubts about Woodson but there is no doubt he can get DUDES! Bedraak at 930 for life. 

You forgot either Dennis or McNeil, Gunn will need a year, and Banks may be a whole lot more notable than he's been getting credit for.
In other words, at this point? We just don't know..
