I’d like to see how we would perform with some minutes with MR at the 5, MM at the 4 with some combo of Tucker and guards.  
 

Yeah, but that really isn't what's happening.  Their "value" is based on their basketball skills and the coach's need, not their marketability.  There is no profit motive on the other side.   Actively, they aren't doing a whole lot -- maybe a "fan meet and greet" or something.  Couldn't the "collective" just put the guy's face on a billboard and say "Players Name support us, You should too."  Then give him is $1,000,000.  
I guess what I am saying, for the "friends of the program" collectives, it's a sham.  Not based on marketing value.  Unlike a local Dairy Queen paying Leal to show up for a "Chill" promotion.  Owner might pay Leal a few grand, thinking he'll bring in 3X that much business.  Probably pay TJD more, cause people love him more.  

MR is going to work his butt off with Calbert and be a 40% 3pt shooter and give us that 4 out 1 in with two bigs

Mgbako, Reneau, Ballo, and Tucker are players currently who are 3/4/5's.  We know we are adding another 4/5 type player.
Running occasional three guard lineups.  Truth is that Galloway and Essegian can both play as a 3.  Essegian was a decent rebounder at the 2 for Wisky.

I agree. I was mostly pointing out the ironic/ridiculous take of Goodman basically writing off Mgbako b/c he didn't shoot very well from 3 as a freshman and his "one suggestion" being that we go get Stojakovic b/c he'll be our answer shooting the 3, even though he wasn't good as a freshman.

I admittedly know very little about Kelsey but he is only 48, has been a HC for 12 years and has won his conference an impressive six of the twelve years (also has  2 seconds and 2 thirds).

I don’t know why starting would be such a big deal if your getting good minutes and making bank.

The Fire thread is there for your pleasure 24/7.  Some people enjoy reading about players with IU interest and that's reality.

From game vids Rice plays tall and while a few inches  shorter,  is a comparable skill set to JHS.
Woody is pretty good at in game schemes.
What he was terrible at last year? Roster construction. He was left with only one guard or wing on the whole roster that had even one outstanding offensive skill—Mgbako, and it took Mgbako until February to show it.
O-Fer guards is a no chance proposition. Rice, Carlyle, and a shooter rectifies that even if neither Cupps or Newton turn into a threat.
