Tragic news out of Fishers, Indiana. Mason was a 4 star that made an IU OV during the summer last year. 
 

A year ago today we were introduced to a really good football coach to be IUFB's next coach.

The best thing about the bye week, by far, is that it means I am tied for the lead for TWO weeks!
Having children, meeting my wife, career, etc., mean little compared to the honor/accomplishment of being tied with  Roadrage in the Prediction Pool!!!

Best of luck to him. He was one of the bright spots during one of the worst offenses IUFB has ever had. It's unfortunate it didn't work for both parties and I truly hope he finds a place where he's able to continue to grow not only as a player but as a human being as well. 

Same. Was a little disappointed tbh but I had to listen vs watch the game.  Seemed our D was far better than what I could tell from listening to the broadcast. Offense seems to have too many veterans to just be meh so hopefully it was just a first game. 

We need a big win to open the eyes of the fan base.  All of us “IU internet warriors” are excited about Cig and the upcoming season but I just looked at sections 103-110 along the sideline,  between the 10 & 10 yard lines on the IU bench side, and there are TONS of available seats.
Disappointing, because I felt Cig was generating a buzz, but winning a few games should  turn that around quickly.

That's fantastic, but I don't have to like them lol. I find it abrasive and annoying, but I have no problem putting a team over individual players or coaches. They're not here for a popularity contest, and I don't have to watch interviews or pressers w/ them.

My predictions based on absolutely nothing other than looking at games on the schedule. Year 1, with a lot of roster movement, new system, new league for the coaches, etc., I think 6 wins and a bowl game would be a win overall.

UCLA - Loss
Charlotte - Win
Maryland - Win
Northwestern - Loss
Nebraska - Loss
Washington - Loss
MSU - Win
Michigan - Loss
OSU - Loss 
Purdue - Win
Total - 6 wins. 
 

I hope, and think, the guy is wrong.
That being said, aside from 2019 and 2020, when we surprised the nation and pre-season “experts”, there have been many many years in which the cycle has been:
1) posters predict enough wins to squeeze into a bowl game
2) “experts” predict we will win less than 6 games and come in last, or next to last, in the division
3) posters call the “experts” idiots
4) “experts” end up being correct.
I am optimistic that won’t happen this year but we will see.

He's certainly got his talking points and sticks to them lol. I like him in these sit-downs though. A lot less prickly than in his pressers.

I think 6 wins is a reasonable expectation. 

CCC will have us bowling in year 1 (I think). Google him. 
Not sure where 6 wins all come from, but one being Purdue, would sure get his era off to a nice start.

Former Alabama defensive lineman Khurtiss Perry is headed to Indiana on an official visit this weekend, per the @APSportsAgency. Perry is a former Top 100 recruit from the Class of 2022 and has three years eligibility remaining.

Going to try and get to every home game this year. I already got my tickets for the Rose Bowl game in September.
