Im now confident we make the field. Not at all confident our guard play allows any type of tourney run though.

Pretty certain he will be a high riser this coming AAU season. Doesn’t get the credit he deserves yet nationally. See him being top 25 consensus by the end. Furst hangs around there where he is. Lander drops to 40s or so.

Not interested at all. As little faith as I have in Archie right now, and it’s next to zero, I don’t want a 67 yo coach.

And he certainly doesn’t play in the gray area.

This probably will be unpopular here, but I've got no interest in Beilein. Not now. Not anymore.
The story goes that we had him all but signed, sealed and delivered back in 2006, but Adam Herbert put the kibosh on it because he wanted a black coach (and mistakenly thought Sampson is black). Whether that's true or not, I have no idea. Back then, I'm 100 percent in. Not anymore. 
There's a reason he left Michigan, and I think it's this: He didn't want to be chasing down 16- and 17-year olds and trying to persuade them to come play for him. He's pretty long in the tooth -- 67 -- and I think is at the end of the line in coaching. He just wanted to coach and had enough of the recruiting and all the other stuff that comes with college ball.
And if there's already discussion about leaving the Cavs after a half-season? I just sense his heart isn't in it anymore. 
Besides, after the 2006 debacle, would he even want to come here? Like the title of the old teenage novel: That Was Then, This Is Now.

Alright, I’m done for the night. We can do this again this weekend. But don’t worry, we will at least go 1–1 next week. We’ll feel better about ourselves then.

I don’t know if this is true or not but to me Devonte doesn’t seem toxic or a bad attitude towards Archie. Devonte is a guy who right now can’t get past a bad shooting day, happens to a lot of offensive minded guys. Shots aren’t falling and now it effects everything else going on. That’s still something he has to get past but that’s what it looks like to me. Not that he hates Archie or can’t root on the team he just gets down on himself for bad offensive performances. Might be too late but he needs to learn to get past it and help out in other ways, and if he can’t then bench him down the stretch like you did Wednesday, but don’t think he needs to be kicked off the team for it

Devonte is a guy who right now can’t get past a bad shooting day, happens to a lot of offensive minded guys. Shots aren’t falling and now it effects everything else going on. That’s still something he has to get past but that’s what it looks like to me. Not that he hates Archie or can’t root on the team he just gets down on himself for bad offensive performances. Might be too late but he needs to learn to get past it and help out in other ways, and if he can’t then bench him down the stretch like you did Wednesday, but don’t think he needs to be kicked off the team for it

Agreed I don't think it does any good to kick a senior off at this point. It just draws attention to the team. I still think he can help us win a game but as someone else said his leash has to be short.

I do not know if it's toxic or not or the picture is an accurate description or not. I just spoke to someone who was in the locker room after the game. This person has been in the locker room for the last 10 years and he said it was unlike anything he has seen before. He said it seemed like Coach Knight in his heyday the way he was lighting these players up. There was talk about getting players off the team, making some transfer and just tired of not playing hard.
Now is the time to see if it was just talking or will something change tomorrow. 

It wasn't just Green though, he had a long list of people he went through.

I'm all for evaluating how well kids play and their strengths and weaknesses. But, to say Green doesn't care or is selfish or whatever other negative trait people have been saying about him is a stretch at best. He's not my favorite player because I'm just not a fan of his style. He likely would have fared better in Crean's offense which was more free flowing. However, I'm not going to call him selfish or a cancer in the locker room. Remember not everyone expresses emotion in the same way. It's Miller's job to put him in the optimal position to be the best he can be in this offense. If he can't do what he's supposed to, then he should sit. But let's not attack his character.
