Brass Cannon

4 Turnover and Purdue is still down. That’s so sad. We are gonna trounce both these teams

Was hoping for no news but this is great news.

if you don’t think size and propensity to break tackles gets factored into defensive planning I would introduce you to Bryant Haines who makes the defenders do separate scouting reports on every single player on the opposing teams offense.  I’m sure we famously do that because all RBs are the same

Pretty sure Big Ten Championships are scheduled through 2030. I wonder if those are cancelled then. Or if they are gonna have them but let teams opt out without penalty?

This year could be big because could be the final game.  Guess Purdue never gets to win one

I was quite happy with our secondary with Harris back.

But yes.  We need to cover Smith for 3-4 seconds while the pass rush gets home.

Make Sayin look off smith and not have time for Smith to make something special happen

Universe is gonna break because Brandon Walker picked OSU.

Only possibility is the game is getting cancelled

True but read the recent book recapping last year and tell me the Big Ten Championship doesn’t mean something

Personally I like the 12 team playoff. Seems like a good number for teams that could actually win it all. If we were in a 24 team playoff look at some of the teams that would make it this year. Does anyone think USC could win it all? Iowa? Wake? Tennessee? UK?

I know thats just the current rankings. But just transplant another team of equal quality there next year. This sport doesn't have that many actual title contenders. Also it devalues the regular season so much. Be a 4 loss SEC or B1G team and you have a realistic argument.

Is it cruel that I want them to get to 5-6 so we can shatter their dreams of a bowl?

As a backup would gladly take him. But that would only be if Cherry isn’t ready.

Mendoza is good enough to start. Just not a contending team

Absolutely but it took 8 guys to stop our run and because the win we missed on some throws to exploit that.
UNT did the same thing and Hoover picked them apart.  Granted OSU is better. But Becker and Marsh are gonna be open.
Nebraska probably can’t do that if the wind didnt screw us up.  There were at least 2 TDs that didn’t happen because the wind caught the ball

Is that really how to beat us?   It only worked for Nebraska because the giant wind tunnel we were playing in.

Doubt we see Martin against OSU. That would be the absolutely minimum recovery time for the injury.  My guess is USC is most likely. Doesn’t hurt to have a guy that good fresh for the end of season.

When they brought up Beebe and Turbo, Cig was quick to mention Khobie.  This is absolutely a 3 headed monster and honestly Khobie could be the best of the 3.  It's so unfortunate part of his season has been derailed with this injury.
Don't think he's back for OSU.  Would be surprised.  USC seems more reasonable.
