HoosiersLoveBanners reacted to RTJ85 in Poll: Archie Miller
Solid hire. Not the name everyone wanted, but could be exactly what IU needs.

I believe at dinner tonight, this will be my beverage of choice...
Just heard Katz on ESPN radio- liked Archie hire, again bashing the fan base saying our expectations are too high- we should be happy with a Sweet 16 run and MAYBE an Elite 8 now and then.. From a national standpoint, I guess it has been awhile; but I'm glad we aren't Kentucky or NC- who cheat their @$$ off and we all know it. I think it's a high risk/reward hire; but he IS a better X and O coach, young, will have fire in the belly and was able to do more with less, Dayton fans pissed-which is always a good sign. Would love to know what consensus is among state/AAU coaches of him. I for one am happy!
It's Miller time!

HoosiersLoveBanners got a reaction from Alford Bailey in Welcome Coach Miller
This move has a lateral floor, but a very high ceiling.
It's the best move we could've made other than hiring Stevens or Donovan. Which ended up being unrealistic, and that's ok.
It's time to get behind the coach and program again!

I thought DD already announced he's staying? Obviously him as well

Bring in a great recruiter as an assistant and I think we're in business. Given some time to reflect on it. I'm pretty excited for the future. I had my heart set on Billy D, but I was probably just caught up in the hype. Archie is a good coach and with the right players, we'll be pretty dang good.

I think what it means is that Blackmon is gonna consider coming back for his senior year. Archie could actually draw up plays with screens for him

Keeping Davis is huge for next year. I think he will develop very nicely!

https://indiana.rivals.com/news/report-de-ron-davis-remains-committed-to-iu
IU Athletics Director Fred Glass in his press conference last Thursday said he hoped current players would give the program's new head coach a chance. So far, at least one player appears to be on board.
Despite the dismissal of head coach Tom Crean, freshman forward De'Ron Davis remains committed to the Hoosiers according a report from Denver 9News sports report Aaron Matas, who cited Davis' high school coach.
Davis arrived on campus in late August last year after tending to summer academic obligations in his hometown of Aurora, Colorado. Missing summer workouts put him behind from a strength and conditioning standpoint, but he was gradually able to earn more time on the court - with all four starts coming in Big Ten play - as his conditioning improve.
The 6-foot-10, 240-pound forward averaged 5.9 points and 3.1 rebounds in 13.9 minutes per game this season, playing in all 34 of the Hoosiers' games while starting four of them.
This story will be updated.

Luck has nothing to do with this game so far. Purdue is by far the best team on the court toady. They are carving Iowa st defense up so far. Anything can happen but right now Purdue is rolling

I'm in the wait for Stevens and offer him the world camp. Whatever it takes! Every other candidate will still be available when we want to start making moves.

I think we'll have a wait too; but I'd offer Stevens $8 million/year for 10 years and make him say no.

HoosiersLoveBanners reacted to Trish in IU Candidate: Brad Stevens (Boston Celtics)
Celtics aren't winning a title anytime soon with that roster.
Although they look to have a bright future, they could've easily had a better roster by now.
Come home Brad. Come enjoy the small town living with a short drive to work everyday
