Did you read about that deal? Apparently he signed his NIL commitment paperwork with KU the day before his UK visit and took the visit just to troll them. So, basically, the Dylan Harper/IU move. I’m down with UK being punked as much as the next guy but that kid’s an a$$hole and there’s a reason he’s been at a million schools.

It would have been a great story if Alberto could have been the guy. But if we know anything about Cig, it's that the offense is built around the quarterback. We have had two exceptional quarterbacks so far and after listening to Hoover after the spring game, I think we have another. To be at the top of the college football world business decisions have to outweigh emotional ones. Cig is a cold dude in the best possible way.

Kinda funny how some seem to think there are impact players just waiting to sign with IU to fill the 11th, 12th, and 13th roster spot and take what little NIL is left. It's willfully ignorant of the fact that guys aren't entering the portal to just wear the candy stripes and are actually looking to maximize exposure, PT, and $$$.
I can guarantee the last three gets will be guys with potential but also with warts.  I can also guarantee a certain amount of undeserved outrage about the last guy on the bench that will only see pt against the likes of Delaware St with 1:13 left in the game.

Of course just my opinion, I just don't see how the staff can realistically come to the conclusion that he's your first frontcourt player off the bench if you have high expectations, based on what he's shown thus far. You're an Aiden Sherrell or Samet Yigitoglu injury away from being a bubble team at best if the plan is to have Sisley and an insurance 5 be your frontcourt rotational pieces. I just don't know how the staff could feel comfortable elevating Sisley to a ~25 mpg role if something were to happen to one of the two proven frontcourt players on the roster. I'm not saying you need to get a Tobe Awaka, but there is a grand canyon sized gap between him and someone like Langdon Hatton.

Next year, if a lot of our players hit the portal, it’s worth keeping this in mind: the average team this season returned players who accounted for just 31% of the minutes played. In other words, nearly 70% of played minutes had to be replaced due to graduation or transfers.
