If we win Monday night Dolson doesn’t have a leash. He’ll be like one of those billionaire’s dogs. He can crap on the floor, puke up last nights pot roast, and the servants will rush in to clean it up and apologize.  We’ll all laugh about how endearingly wacky he is. 
 
Nobody is gonna care about this basketball program.

This team just isn’t very good. Devries built this roster like he was heading back to the MVC, and that’s not going to work in the Big 10. For better or worse he’ll have the chance to build a better one in the portal a few months from now.

And I…don’t care? Just learned these kids names a few weeks ago, and they’ll all be gone next season anyway.

I find it telling that Enright has had to switch into the paint to guard over some of our bigs tonight. Honestly he hasn’t done any worse.

Gonna be a sad day next Tuesday when we don't have anymore football games to look forward to.  Reality will set in on this basketball season!

Due to travel I didn’t see the full game. In a vacuum these games happen (e.g. Michigan lost at home to Wisconsin). Sadly these are mostly happening the same way. Even more troubling is the getting beat out of halftime scenarios. The other team adjusts, we’re stopped dead in our tracks and seemingly unable to adjust. I don’t love what that indicates about the future, quite frankly. 
 
Thank goodness for football. I can honestly say, I don’t care that much about basketball right now. Never would I imagined that would happen. 

Barely posted the past few days because I was in Atlanta.
Truly a bucket list experience. When Ponds picky-sixdied it felt like twenty jet planes were revving in 10X10 room.
The crowd was insanely pro and all IU. If you take away the Oregon band members? 90-95% IU without a doubt. With an announced attendance of over 75,000, maybe the single largest IU crowd ever; home, road, or neutral. The Oregon people I met were super nice but they kinda didn’t have much of a choice. The IU fans were exceptionally nice to them even when they could have engaged.
This semi-old IU fan stayed up past 2:00 am two nights in a row, drove 19 hours over 2.5 days, my voice is still trashed, my eyes ache, and it was one of the best entertainment and IU times of my life. With my 19 year old son and four of my absolutely best college buddies by my side.
Never daunted. And sublime.

Really didn’t want to play Oregon again. Think this will be the biggest challenge remaining. Get this one and we win the natty.

Is it bad or the new normal that I have no idea who any of these guys are? The apathy of the last few years and constant roster turnover have not incentivized getting familiar with anyone until it’s proven to be worth the effort by the team’s performance (although I’m encouraged so far!).

I’ve heard enough about ratings to last me a friggin’ lifetime. The TV networks have already paid! This series that is the apocalypse for ratings nerds has been bought and paid for by The Mouse! Does anyone actually think that this series is going to hurt the next TV deal? I promise it won’t. The NBA will survive. It has bigger problems to worry about than tripping bassackwards into the most entertaining Finals in about a decade. 

Hope the changes benefit athletics 

This Pacers team is really fun to watch. So glad I got out to see them a few times this season. OKC will be tough but I said the same about the Knicks and Cavs.
