Well... it IS a long season... and with Woodson leading the charge, it seems even longer.

Absolutely agree... Every time I read one of your posts, I see your signature and have to wonder... just exactly where is the Divine Ms C? About time for her to fly in with her admonishments to us all (unless a house fell on her).

I really don't think he wants that. And I doubt that he really knows what he's asking for. He may well get the send off that he deserves, but it will not be the send off that he's expecting. If they do the video of Woodson's "talking point", what's the over/under on "the hump"? Can we name the toilets after him: "The King Michael Dean Woodson Throne Room"???

Is Woodson's wife in Bloomington with him or does she stay in Atlanta? I'm curious, as I don't recall ever having seen her at the games... does she attend any of them? I saw photos last year of her going to see Mullins' sectional game with Woodson, but she did not appear to be happy or engaged.

Clearly something was "off" with him. He seemed confused.

Most (all) of these guys have played for HS or AAU coaches, and many have played for other P4 coaches - all of whom know the game, know what they're doing, and can teach and develop skills... they have to see that the wheels are off at IU... can't be a good feeling for them, regardless of how much NIL they're getting. The change must come, but it's a truly sad situation for all involved.

I understand where you're coming from, but is there a serious basketball fan on the planet that would not see through the "retiring for health reasons"? Sure, there are causal fans who might believe the spin, and they could even sell it as a simple statement for posterity's sake... but Woodson is a horrible coach who's failed at every turn, and there is honestly no way to hide that fact. No only is Indiana basketball utterly depressing, it's the biggest scam in the entirety of the NCAA. My choice would still be to go full scorched earth on Woodson, Buckner, Ferguson, Spears and the rest of them... BURN. IT. DOWN.

Absolutely. He possesses nothing close to Knight's basketball mind or his work ethic. And RMK never turn on the excuse spigot at the post game pressers... The King is more like The Jester. Hopefully he will be the ex-coach before the week is out.

That was something Knight did... the players knew what to do, and they had it drilled into their heads during practice - no TO, just go do what you learned to do. But Might Mike, the Wizard of Broad Ripple, just had to interject himself into the situation... either that OR they never talked about this scenario in practice. Either way, he's a horrible coach who has no clue and should be fired today.

I have to agree that a lot about all of this just flat stinks... Woodson is spouting the same platitudes and empty excuses while guys like Leal are busy circling the wagons. I cannot wait for this nightmare to be over.
