They played their butts off tonight. A lot of people here like to rip on RoJo and Newkirk, and at times, I agree. No way is RoJo "checked out." He's scoring off the dribble more, just needs to find that stroke from long range. His defense has been pretty well this year as well. 
 
Take the L, grow from it, and for God's sake, HIT FREE THROWS!

Unfortunately I don’t think we have anyone better for his spot in that moment.

Maybe against pUKe he'll hear the crowd cheer 3 minutes after he makes a good play. It takes a while for sound to travel from their sideline to the court.

With a coach like Archie this is the kinda game that changes a program. If we can pull this out I'll be extremely proud but no matter what I'm gonna be happy w this effort and excited to see this team grow

Grayson Allen sits when he pees

Damn straight. Talent deficit. Size deficit. Main big plays five minutes. Can’t rebound. 2 turnovers and down four at half. We need some 3’s to drop and find a way to rebound in spite of their size. Hopefully we come out strong at the start of the half and give ourselves a chance.

Damn proud of this team even if we don't take the lead again. The difference from game one to the last few not just tonight show the changes already Archie has made with mostly the same players that Crean had sides none were more than a role player for him last year. If we continue improving this way towards the end of the year it's not crazy to say we could sneak into the tourney. The B1G is weak after the first few teams. TWO turnovers against the #1 team in the country!! Maaaaan this is awesome to see. Keep it up boys.

Awful officiating. I've never seen a team get away with so many over the backs. And not only that, but they're calling them on us instead??

The team may not have a great record this year, but you can see how much better prepared this team is for this game than they ever were for a big game under Crean. Not this year, maybe not next year, but I feel very confident Archie Miller will consistently have IU in the conversation as a contender. 

You don't want to play this team in February.

IUgradman mentioned Trayce Jackson-Davis, Colton Montgomery, Khristian Lander , Andrew Carlton, and possibly Curt Hopf attending tonight's game. I tried to quote him but the absolute strangest thing happened. Rather than these guys names coming up I got instructions for a crocheting project. WTHeck.

If DeBord is such a great offensive coordinator why did he show zero creativity and zero risk taking this season? Why did he keep the playbook closed 95% of the time when we had success the few times that he did open it up? Why did he run qb draws with our slow as molasses quarterback? Why did he have players run 5 yard routes on 3rd and 8 plays?

I hope I'm eventually proven wrong but I haven't been impressed by Allen. I don't really dig the "love each other" motto. Seems strange for a football team but whatever. The team was not a disciplined team at all and the stupid, silly mistakes cost us time and time again.
Next year will be a big year for him. If we go 4-8, or worse, he's going to lose all the momentum that Wilson created. I understand that Wilson had to go for non-football reasons, but right now I'm thinking we downgraded with this hire.

I didn't watch that whole game so maybe he was good, but when I was watching the end it was same ol' Crean.... He even said Northwestern played great D on the final play and basically insinuated the drive was unstoppable... I flipped it back to ESPN2 and Rafferty was doing a highlight immediately after of that same play and mentioned how lost the Defense was.
I truly believe he only sees 1 side of the court.
A bit earlier he tried to pull a Tony Romo and call out what the play would be, not even close.
Felt like he was guessing and hoping to be right and look like the smartest guy in the room.
Like I said I didn't watch the whole game so maybe those were just blips and overall he was good?

Some parts were pure comedy, other than that I found it pretty bad.

I think recruiting in Indiana was going to be hard no matter what. That's why we needed to have a 7+ win season; that would have shown potential recruit that we were finally turning the corner. Next season will be pivotal in that sense because if we have another 4 or 5 win season all momentum in recruiting will be lost.

TJD will be in attendance on Wednesday when IU plays Duke.
