He is not going anywhere this year so we should be pulling for him to have the best team possible to have a successful year. I don’t care who the coach is, I want them to be successful so the program is successful. If he fails then Dolson will take care of it next year.

The problem is with what the IU administration considers to be ‘failing’. Does another season like his first constitute a failure? I don’t think it will to them. 1 tournament win in 2 seasons got him a million dollar raise. We basically have to hope for a total train wreck if we want him gone. Anything better than an absolute disaster will keep us in basketball purgatory.

Yeah I feel the same way for the most part. How they start the season is going to matter a lot, for many reasons.

There's just no way he's announcing before next season that it will be his last no matter what IMO.

I don’t see any way that he’ll leave voluntarily. IU will have to fire him.

im fully expecting another bubble season and early tournament exit. Woodson will get a nice extension and raise because “you can’t fire a guy who led you to three tournament appearances in four seasons.” The pumpers will then tout the sick new round of 64 banner hanging in the Hall.

The alternative is that... fans could root for the team they support... to win.

I want Woodson gone too but if as you say we miraculously have a solid team with a good season, I'd hope half the fans could get behind the team even if they don't think the coach is what's best for the program. I just don't think it's realistic to hope that he makes any announcement about next season being his last no matter what before the season even starts.

They can. Unfortunately, the team I like is led by a coach I don’t like at all. The stories we’ve heard about him paint the picture of a coach that no part of me wants to support.

I'd speculate Tyme is Woodson's burner, but that would require Woody to (1) use technology (2) take a break from Wine-down-Wednesday. It's also not written in the third person so there's no way it's him.

Tyme/NGW has to be someone personally invested in Woodson’s success at IU. Who else would be that passionate at this point?

Though the Luke Brown poster was strangely unaffiliated, so anything is possible.

    Are you serious?

Yes, well I assume he’s talking about you. He tweets about “60 year old guys working in ____ telling you they have inside info from the athletic department” and “message board guys from campus who feed Trilly info that everyone believes.” Also says that it’s “the same guys” who “cooked up” the Brad Stevens store. He has 1,900 posts so there are probably more, but that’s just from the past few days.

I wanted to check Tyme out on twitter because I have never seen him before. I'm blocked. Not sure how I'm blocked from someone I've never even seen on there before. It has to be NGW. I love it Woodson is playing chess while all the other coaches are playing checkers.

He tweets about you constantly, so he probably searched for your account and blocked you.

IMO anything over an IU scholarship is paying Leal too much and shows just how desperate this staff is.

Imo the Leal money was just given to him because the donor likes him and/or his family. A gift, basically. No one in their right mind would think that another school would use their NIL to poach him.

Not saying Schertz won't pan out, but his record at ISU is no where near what Oats did at Buffalo. Oats had that team in the Top 25, made three straight NCAAs (I believe), etc.

So actually… Schertz record going into tonight’s game is exactly the same as Oats’ record through 3 years at Buffalo… 64-39.

I would be floored if someone from the actual staff was posting on an anonymous message board. Then again it may be par for the course with this bunch, but I highly, highly doubt Jordan Hulls is wasting his time with us common folk.

I doubt they’re on the actual staff but think there’s a very high probability they’re affiliated with someone who is on the staff.

Whoever it is has a major crush on @Chris007 from the number of times he/she tweets about him.

Not sure if I should share this or not but the feedback IU is getting from the portal so far, from kids who should be a layup for IU is not going well. When a player's camp tells you that you need to change your offense and pay them a lot of money to get them it's not good.

The players aren’t dumb. We’re not the only school with money. When money is all you have to offer because you play an office straight out of 2002, it’s not going to appeal to very many kids. If you’re a talented guard do you want to come play for IU? I wouldn’t. They can get paid by someone else where they’ll be coached by a better coach, play in a fun, modern offense, and win more than they would at IU. IU only becomes appealing when the pay differential becomes big enough.
