bnkepner replied to MartintheMopMan's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
The thing is Benny has been with the team during the whole season. He has sitting at the IU side of the scores bench since the beginning of the season -
IU vs. Maryland Game Thread
bnkepner replied to Walking Boot of Doom's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Was pumped all day for the game and just scrolled through all my channels and didn't find anything. Freaking ESPNU. This sucks. Hope you guys that can watch it enjoy the game... -
Its already backfired against them. Seems he's played worse for them than he did last year here at IU
-
Well I think the good news is that he still considers us one of his top two no matter what other schools are involved
-
Juwan is already a 4 star on all the recruiting sites. OG still at a 3 but I agree with you that he will be a 4 star

HAHAHAH!! Yes!! Funny thing is that when Watford tried out for NBA teams, he somehow quickly had to ability to hustle and dunk….

Hoosier Transfers and Recruiting Targets
bnkepner replied to WayneFleekHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Im not sure if he is even starting for them yet. Is he? Im gonna laugh next year when Ellenson comes to Marquette and Fischer goes back to the bench -
Leave it to them to do something so stupid. Shows the pathetic state that their program is in

(2015) SG Malik Ellison to St. John's
bnkepner replied to MemphisHoosier's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
I think the is referring to the fact that Maryland was picked to finish towards the bottom of the big ten by everyone and are now ranked in the top 15. Thats a pretty good turn around. Again same thing could be said for IU but when was the last time Maryland was relevant in college basketball? -
Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Watford never really was an inside presence but I think Morgan will be and will be able to step out and will have the long range shot in his arsenal

There is a snippet from an interview with Bryant where it says that Indiana and Missouri are his top two, but still considering Kentucky. Its going to be interesting with him. Especially since it seems like every report we are hearing has different schools being the most interested, etc. The Advocate Messenger: Center Thomas Bryant insists he has interest in UK despite what mother says Indiana and Missouri, where former Huntington Prep coach Rob Fulford is now an assistant coach, are his other top schools even though he insists there is no leader. "I have not heard from others, just basically them," he said of his top four schools. "Me and Rob had a great relationship when he was here last year. Me and him always got along," Bryant said. Still, his mother wants him to go to Syracuse. "Me and my mom always talk about that and keep that between us," he said. "The decision is mine." With her approval? "Sure," he said.

It is funny though that the ones you said would be "easy" wins were actually really close games and you said Iowa and Wisconsin would be a close one and it was a blowout. Goes to prove that on any given night its anyones game. Good picks overall

I see it as a given that that Rojo and Emmitt will still be solid in that 3rd year. Max seems to have what it takes but well see. Collin will be a Senior that year though, but still we'll need leadership. Im not worried about that with those 4 guys

Crean is all in on the 2017 class right now which looks to be one of the best classes we've had in awhile in the state of Indiana. The top AAU team in the nation for the 2017 is actually a team from Indiana and they are all high on Indiana and Crean has been letting them know that he is high on them as well
-
Not putting down teams like Vanderbilt and Ole Miss but Kentucky has struggled against these small schools. Kentucky just comes off as a lazy team. They have come out to compete against the big schools they've played against but I don't see them going undefeated. Too many close calls.
-
They've had too many close calls against small teams. The will lose at least 3 this year. Wouldn't be surprised if they got knocked out of the tournament early

Workout in Cook Hall?

You must not have been around this board or other indiana boards cause Yogi usually gets the blame for things. It is nonsense but it happens
-
This and the thread about countries make me question you guys' sanity haha
-
Fans do. He carried last years team on his back and is doing a good job of it this year and he got most of the blame for last year and seems to be treated one of the scape goats this year when something goes wrong. The national media seems to appreciate him more than most fans

Come on Bryant visited in October…..

If Kansas is the favorite, Im not impressed. After watching that game last night i think IU can take them.

Yeah like I said Id be happy with either one. Maker is more of a stretch big while Bryant seems to be a more traditional post up guy. So with Maker we'd have to form an offense around him most likely, but if Sampson could do as well as he did with an offense based on Gordon, we could be pretty lethal with an offense based around Maker. I think with Bryant we could keep our offense scheme and work him into it and we would still be cooking with oil. With either one, we would be a team to be dealt with on a national level! I think we stand a good chance of getting one of them and I hope we do

I doubt he leaves us for UCLA because I think right now we are better than them and next year we are a lot better than them. The only place I could see him going is to play professionally and I don't see that one bit either
