5 bid steals last year to screw ISU. This year maybe 0 bid steals to save IU. -

He has coached 3 different schools in a small amount of time and has gotten each to the ncaa tourney. First coach to beat a 1 seed as a 16 seed. Still young. Virginias top choice and they have been more nationally relevant then IU. If he is good enough for them IU should be lucky to have him as coach -

Yeah but they are only 12-15 vs the top 3 Quads. 7 wins vs Q4. That’s a lot of losses. No team has been left out with 7 or more Q1 wins and no team has made it with more than being 1 game under .500 vs the top 3 Quads. Their non conference sos is 287 IUs finished 168 -

Memphis could still win and they could still get left out. Or they could lose and IU could still make it. No one knows what the committee will find important when separating the last couple teams -

Ius final numbers https://www.warrennolan.com/basketball/2025/team-net-sheet?team=Indiana 10 of the 13 losses are to tourney teams with the other 3 losses on the road to top 63 teams O losses in Q2-Q4 Q1a win @Sparty. Projected 2 seed Q1 wins home against Purdue IU only has 2 wins against the projected field which is a negative however I feel this resume should be good enough for last 4 in -

Just realized Lunardi has Vandy in the last 4 in as well so I might have to double check on them and make a change -

Yes. After the committee follows the bracketing guidelines and the only way to get them out of the Friday Sunday that could happen. They could also drop a seed line to accommodate it. -

I didn’t go through this and look for errors so there may be some throughout the projected field. BYU being in the field could screw up some seeding because they can’t play in the Friday, Sunday slot so they might drop a team a seed line or gain a seed line depending on some things -

Happy Selection Sunday to all the hoops junkies out there. Its like Christmas day at the USPS household. Its also a sad day as well because it means its the beginning of the end for the college basketball season. Thanks to everyone that has participated in the college basketball thread all year. We have had some great nights following this great sport in there. My time to do deep dives into bracketology have taken a back seat to my own kids sporting events and school activities however i still love to do it with the limited time i now spend on it. You have to spend an incredible amount of time on this hobby to really get good at making a full bracket. Its just not about selection of the teams its about properly seeding and projecting the regions teams will end up in using the committee bracketing principles and geography principles. I am only going to project the teams and not worry about the others 1 seed- Auburn, Duke, Houston, Florida Auburn has had the overall seed wrapped up for awhile now 16 Q1 wins is insane. Duke played in a down ACC and didnt get the opportunities. Florida should be higher but think the will end up the 4th 1 seed 2. Tennessee, Bama, Sparty, St Johns SEC having 4 teams in the top is crazy you could flip flop Bama and Tennessee if you want 3. Texas Tech, A&M, Kentucky, Iowa St First year head coach has Kentucky in position for a 3 seed in year 1 despite injuries props to him 4 Wisky, Zona, Maryland, Michigan B1G teams are going to give bracketologist fits trying to deal with the bracketing principles within the conference teams being this close on the seed list 5 Purdue, Oregon, Ole Miss, Clemson 6 Missouri, BYU, Louisville, UCLA what Kelsey done in year 1 is impressive Turnaround can happen with the right hire 7 Illinois, St Marys, Marquette, Zags 8 Kansas, Miss st, Memphis, Creighton 9 Uconn, New Mexico, Utah St, Georgia 10 Drake, Arkansas, Oklahoma, West Virginia 11 Baylor, (San Diego St, IU)(Vandy, Xavier) UC SAN DIEGO Vandy non con sos is 330 i hope they put them in the First 4 12. , VCU, COLORADO ST, McNEESE ST, Liberty 13 ,High Point, Akron, Yale, Troy 14 Lipscomb, Grand Canyon, UNCW, Wofford 15 Montana, Omaha, Robert Morris, Bryant 16 Norfolk St, SIU Edwardsville, (American ,Mt St Marys ,Alabama St , St Francis) if Memphis loses take Xavier out First 3 out Texas Boise st UNC i might change some things if i have time but this is how i see it going today but wont be surprised at any of the 3 first out being selected Enjoy the games and selection sunday -

And then moved IU ahead of Xavier now. Xavier is his last team in. Lunardi has now moved IU from 3rd team out to second to last team in without playing a game. -

I’m confident VCU would be behind IU if they were to lose tomorrow on the seed list. I will sleep on it but as of now I’m confident IU will be in the field. If the committee has them as 2nd to last team out tonight then they will make the field in my opinion because there is only 1 bid stealer in play. If Memphis loses then the team that is last in will be out. The field could be in tonight with a contingency bracket in place if Memphis loses. Last year there were 5 bid steals and this year i project only 1 and possible 2 depending on if Boise st makes it as an at-large. Going to be fun to see how this all goes. Remember all these teams are on the bubble for a reason because they didn’t win enough. I will have no problem on whichever teams get left out including if IU is left out. Tomorrow is selection Sunday. Let’s go -

Depends on what the committee feels is important. They will definitely be in the discussion for an at-large however history tells you it’s unlikely they get selected -
Worse I’ve seen UC San Diego play in awhile.
-
Florida is one of the favorites to win it. They are going to be a 1 seed
-
Won the MidACC. Duke problem could be they haven’t played a protected seed level team since the non conference. Sec teams have been playing them night in and night out.
