But if a 1-bid conference opts to base the qualifier on season record; where's the incentive for participation in a conference tournament especially if attendance is either severely limited or even non-existent? Seems like other than personal pride it would be hard to motivate participation when even if your school came out of nowhere and won the tournament you're staying home.

(2021) C Logan Duncomb to IU, to Winthrop
Class of '66 Old Fart replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
https://247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/LongFormArticle/Bossis-Best-Ten-good-fits-from-the-class-of-2021-Florida-Kentucky-Creighton-Michigan-North-Carolina-Texas-Indiana-Michigan-State-Maryland-Illinois-160831880/#160831880_7 Bossi's Best: Ten good fits from the class of 2021 Logan Duncomb is included in his 10 and the following are his comments on Duncomb. Current rank: 63. Committed to: Indiana. Bossi's take: There appears to be a really good chance that Trayce Jackson-Davis will head off to the NBA after this season. If he does, that departure would leave a pretty gaping hole on Indiana's front line. Even if elects to return for his junior season in Bloomington, the Hoosiers could really use another able bodied and ready to contribute big man and that's why Logan Duncomb appears to be such a good fit. Duncomb has been getting better each step of the way during his high school career and really looks to be on the verge of taking the next step in his development. He runs the floor well, is a plus rebounder, has very good hands and he's got a wiry strong frame that will easily carry more weight without costing him any flexibility or quickness. Watching Duncomb as a senior, his touch around the rim and potential as a guy who is going to be able to add to his game while facing the rim really stand out. Can he replace the production of Jackson-Davis if he leaves for the NBA? That's a lot to ask. But, he Duncomb should arrive ready to provide solid and productive minutes. -
@Josh looks like you had an able assistant.

Consider it done and sympathies to you and your friend's family.

Patrick School (4-1) lost to Bergen Catholic (5-4) 60-53. Cruz the leading scorer for Patrick with 14 pts. but it wasn't an overly impressive performance. Through 3 quarters he had just 2 points and had only taken 6 shots not what you might expect from the #1 ranked '22 player in the State of New Jersey. Even though he scored 12 in the 4th Q several buckets were simply a result of being in the right place for long rebounds. It was not a case of a player taking over a game. Overall, he was 6-13 FG; 2-5 on 3s; no foul shots; 4 reb; no assists; 1 stl; 2 blks; 3 TO. -

Braeden Moore is a candidate for Tennessee's Mr. Basketball in Division II-A. On the season he's averaging 21 ppg; 8.5 rpg and has made 73 3-point buckets. I know nothing about the structure of high school athletics in TN so no idea what Division II-A comprises. -

Be sure to watch the vid clip in Gunn's own thread. A lot different player in those AAU games than how Lawrence North plays and utilizes him. Really interesting to see how Keefer uses him next season with the LN talent that's graduating. -
2021 NCAA March Madness - Indianapolis
Class of '66 Old Fart replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
TV information revealed for 2021 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament Television information for the upcoming NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament has been released, with Turner Sports and CBS announcing on Wednesday games for the event will be televised across four national television networks: TBS, CBS, TNT and truTV. All games will be additionally streamed on NCAA March Madness Live. The Final Four National Semifinals of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament, set for April 3, will air on CBS, as will the National Championship on Monday, April 5. As in past seasons, the Elite Eight Regional Finals will be split by TBS and CBS, all of which will be primetime games this spring. The Elite Eight is set to take place from Monday, March 29 through Tuesday, March 30. As for the earlier rounds, the Sweet 16 games, set to be held from Saturday, March 27 through Sunday, March 28, will also be split between TBS and CBS. TBS will televise two games in primetime each night, while CBS will broadcast the first two games in the afternoon on each day. First and Second Round games (March 19-22), meanwhile, will air across TBS, CBS, TNT and truTV, while coverage of the NCAA First Four (Thursday, March 18) will be split between truTV and TBS. CBS will air the NCAA Selection Show, which is set to take place from 6-7 p.m. ET on Sunday, March 14. The entire 2021 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament is being played in the state of Indiana as means of limiting travel due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Final Four is set to be held at Lucas Oli Stadium in Indianapolis. Whether or not fans will be able to attend any March Madness games this spring is to be determined, though various reports from January indicated that the NCAA expected to make a decision in February. The NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament is set to return after being canceled last year for the first time since its 1939 inception. After initially announcing on March 11 that no general spectators would be allowed to attend the 2020 event as the COVID-19 pandemic began to sweep across the country, the sports world began to shutter hours later when the NBA abruptly suspended its season that night after Utah Jazz star Rudy Gobert tested positive for the virus. The next day, March 12, conference basketball tournaments across the nation were canceled one-by-one before the NCAA made the call that afternoon to cancel all Winter and Spring Championships for the 2019-2020 academic year. It would be several months before major professional leagues and collegiate sports alike returned to action amid the pandemic. -
