Lot to like about Brown. Good FG shooting %; excellent FT % and gets a lot of rebounds from his SG position. FWIW a day 2 & 3 summary of Garza at Vic's Skills Academy. If Garza really runs the floor that well then he's definitely a CTC type of center. Don't know anything at all about the authors of these summaries and obviously their job is to hype these kids, but I do like the references to "most well rounded big". "At 6'11 Luka can run the court almost as quickly as any guard can. His ability to run the floor and grab rebounds translated to 16 points and 8 rebounds on 7-11 shooting. He scored in every way possible, three pointers, dunks, mid-range, you name it. He was probably the most well rounded big we witnessed at the camp."

In the category of FWIW, the following was from a day 2 & 3 summary of Vic's Skills Academy. "Capable" jump shooter stands out because he's not proven to be a very consistent shooter especially on 3's, despite the 3 for 6 game he had on Thursday. [32% FG shooter and only 25% on 3's for his 16-game AAU season prior to Vic's event.] He does do a good job of drawing fouls as he gets to the line a lot and shoots 75% on his FT's. "Durham is a natural scorer. He changes pace well in the half court and keeps his defender guessing while he slides to the rim. He is a capable jump shooter, but is best when slashing to the paint which he did on a number of plays on Thursday. He dropped 15 points in 20 minutes on 50% shooting from three."

I can't get a handle on where the game is being played but I'm seeing tweets that there is an AAU game underway where one of the teams has no coach nor does it have any bench players!

It's a frustrating time, but it certainly keeps our collective juices flowing. The list cutting by the prospects is way out of hand but they are eating it up and loving every minute of the attention they're getting. Sadly, I think a lot of schools get led on that they're in the mix for a particular kid when they really aren't. Hopefully our staff has enough experience to know which recruits are genuinely interested in IU and which are simply playing a game.
