Changing the perception means?
Changing the perception.
And when the #1 national recruit retweets our offer it’s already a ‘zero effort expended win.’

Purdue guards are the gift that keeps giving this Holiday season.

November is God's annual apology to Purdue fans for whatever happened back in March.
It's December 1st.

Those guards also helped JHS make his NBA $$$.
JHS got a lot of press when we beat PU but they were the perfect guards to allow him to get to his spots for his mid-range shots.

Proud husband moment: Just learned my wife woke the kids up at near midnight so they could watch Purdoo get flushed. I'm beaming.

Jones showed how important he is though. When he fouled out seemed like Northwestern took advantage of their other guards. Having a player like Edey is definitely a huge advantage however it messes with their offense at times. Painters offense which in years past was something I liked watching is basically unwatchable at times. Can’t blame him for just getting Edey the ball but man watching Purdue this year is a chore if you actually want to watch offensive flow. Nobody other than Purdue fans want to watch a game that is foul shot after foul shot after foul shot. Purdue is a really good team ( really good Edey) but I will take Marquette, UConn, Arizona, Kansas or Kentucky in March but will acknowledge if the game if reffed a certain way no one will stop Edey

Really makes you think about that rumor floating around about Braden Smith stinking.

Wish I could find the thread during Furst’s freshman year on GBI that Purdue fans said a freshman Furst was better thannTJD.

Purdue will win a lot of games, look dominant at times and probably run the conference. That said any decent guard or guard combo can run them out of the tournament.

Edey is the most likable of the Purdue giants I just don’t think it’s necessarily good for the game. Makes you wonder if a guy like Furst ever reaches his potential standing around watching Edey dominate.

Purdue is the B1G's best chance at a 1 seed, so they'll get plenty of calls in their favor all season long. I'd be willing to bet they always have more FTA than the other team.
Glad they're 0-1.
They escaped so many conference road games last year, like MSU and OSU, it was frustrating.

Agreed. Did you see the put-back dunk Furst has mid 2nd half? It was impressive. I also wonder if Kaufman regrets Boilering himself, since I doubt he aspires to back-up Center minutes. Like you said a lot of standing around watching Edey- which will be enough for 20+ wins for sure....but when it really matters? Sad trombone for them.

Washington beating Oregon twice is quite the accomplishment. They deserve a little more respect.

Chemistry takes time. I don't think we can make projections for this kid or that kid yet. Nowhere near our ceiling. Losing to UCONN early is the best thing that could have happened to us. The kids now know at what level they need to be at to achieve great things in March.
- The big guys have growth because they're still figuring out space and positioning relative to each other. Could be scary. Walker and Sparks are still looking at how they fit in the system but I'm not worried.
-Mgbako is slowly figuring it out and if he hits the three consistently that will make us scary.
-Don't know much about conditioning but if Cupps can gain a little muscle and gains experience he could be a problem for other teams who don't have elite guards.
-Gunn and Banks need playing time. Banks could be a wild card for us in terms of depth and being a good rebounder. Gunn needs to build his confidence to the point where he can knock down jumpers.
Each of our players have growth potential. Just gotta tolerate the bumps early.

Yeah I would agree PS is useful for 5-10 mins, a small role... KW needs to stay healthy or the season is shot!
Sparks looks to me like he sometimes is trying to do way too much and getting outside of himself. Just want to see him slow down and play his game a little more without being as in his head. He was pretty darn good against Louisville. More of that would be great.
When he's not playing well though, it's ugly... as is the case with most college basketball players I guess!
It's tough playing 10/11 guys. But they've really all made a solid case to this point. I like this team a lot.

Oh for sure. Simply put, I like him more than Duncomb and Durr as a backup center.

Sparks has called IU his dream school and I agree that he seems to be pressing a bit (although that doesn’t explain his FT stroke…yikes).
There will be some BT football games, such as Purdue, where Sparks will be helpful.

He’s exactly what I was expecting from him at this point. Every team trying to attack him has to fuel the fire. He’ll grind and get better but his expectations were inflated from our fanbase. He’s playing exactly the way he’s scouted. I think he’s a better shooter than he’s demonstrated, but he wasn’t really a shooter in HS either.

Deri Queen is so good but tonight wasn’t his night. Fouled out midway through the third. Visibly frustrated with refs, himself, and McNeeley at one point. Fouled out with a tech after composing about his 4th.
But…, his hands are so good. His touch. His passing. Hoping he picks Indiana.

I really hope we can get Queen. He’s so solid. Him and Reneau would be 2 incredibly gifted bigs to play together.
