hoosierbgh got a reaction from btownqb in Indiana @ tOSU Tonight @ 7 ET Peacock Game Day!
No one is forcing you. There's also very little chance that Woody won't be back next year unless he chooses not to be.
I'd much rather the staff focus more on convincing talented guards and wings with experience and shot making ability to come to IU than worry about the nonsense of playing two bigs at the same time. If anything last night's game was an example of both needing better (or even just more consistent) guard play and having a 2nd quality big when one has an off night.

Galloway may be limited but he works harder than any player on the court. I would love him back next year

I will really be disappointed if Woody doesn’t start Leal ( and I freely admit that I never thought I would type those words prior to a couple of games ago).

Both of OSU’s basketball fans are really pissed at Holtman.

With Flory coming in, Kansas still doesn't make any sense. If it's not IU (I'm guessing that is looking more and more unlikely) or Maryland then it'll be Houston.

I'm not sure why everyone thinks that competing for a college championship is all that important to high school players who haven't played a single college game. If I'm an elite player, #1-3 are NIL, how well I fit to up my draft stock, and how I fit into the rotaiton.

If you can't get excited about an 18 point road halftime comeback, not sure what to say.

If the BIG insists on hyping him as anything more than a above average player, then he needs all the help he can get. The other schools and even the conference certainly won't benefit from it in the long run though.
My chocolate lab thinks I'm the source of all food and that I make the sun rise in the morning and he still doesn't look at me as lovingly as the BIG refs do Edey.

I have no inside knowledge but I'd highly consider making a significant bet that all of the following happens before Malik transfers to a different school:
1. The IU fanbase unites behind and agrees upon a coach.
2. Purdue wins a natty.
3. BIG refs call at least one out of every 5 fouls Edey commits on him.

Nice story from Leal. Right after he came into the Iowa game, he saw a chance to inbound a ball off of Freeman's back, but was too chicken to do it because he thought he'd get yanked if it didn't work.
So at halftime he thought to himself "I'll try to get a freshman to do it!" Went to Mgbako; told him to watch for it and that it was a good idea. And Mack made a helluva play.

If IU won all their home games and won 2 road games they are more then likely going to in and they won’t even be in the first 4. In this instance they would have 0 Q3 or Q4 losses and would have beating a top 2 seed as of today (Wisky) plus a couple of other tourney quality teams. With an overall SOS in the top 20 it would be hard for the committee to leave a team like that out. Bubble teams are going to have flaws and bad losses if and that’s a big if IU was to win their home games and steal road games in my opinion they should be in. But you won’t know for sure until you get closer to the end of the year to see what the end of the bubble actually looks like

Mack Mgbako is a sweet-natured kid from a great family that is financially secure and values education. If he's not wanting to ride around the country in a G-League bus he will be back. Therefore, it's likely that he'll be back.
Watching his body language on the bench and the way he was damn near the happiest kid in the locker room for Leal reminds me of why I'm glad he's a Hoosier. That, and the way he has developed during this season. Him and Malik last year have been exactly what five star freshmen (from our current roster) should be at IU; humble, developing their games, great teammates, and low ego.

Coaching carousel update from Trilly and to the disappointment of many Woody is not on this list.

It seems there are a couple threads dedicated to exactly that... they predate and have nothing to do with the Iowa game though.

Food for thought: Northwestern had 8 free throws. Mason Gillis had 8 free throws.
Mason Gillis did not take a single shot inside the arc.

Perfect description of the Zach Edey experience. The longer he plays the more he gets babied.
