If you're referring to TJD, it still makes no sense. Trayce wasn't the issue with those teams, and Ballo isn't the same type of player as Trayce anyways so again, you're reaching just so you can complain. I can't convince you to not be miserable but I can corral you back into the thread of other miserables.

That was literally the entirety of your initial post. And it didn't make any sense to begin with. Everyone knows he can't shoot, and as pointed out above you can succeed with a low post option that doesn't shoot. So it just seems like you're reaching for any reason to bring negativity into what is otherwise (and should be) a positive thread. As a Woody critic myself, I promise you it's a lot more enjoyable to find the positives during the offseason and hope Woody figures out the coaching aspect this upcoming season. This is going to be a much more talented roster and this kid is a big part of it.

They sure did try to choke that one away, man I was stressing that one out. Haliburton still doesn't seem right.

A decent team is killing Purdue right now. This is so painful to watch.

Add airballling wide open 3's to the list

I'm not sure if that was the designed play there but that was an awful last set by ISU

These announcers seem to be pro-Big East and aren't afraid to show it

I think the Perkins shooting concerns are a bit overblown, and given we've had to deal with X and Galloway's shooting the past couple years I understand the panic, but let's think about this.
We're talking about a senior guard who just averaged 14/5/4 in the Big Ten, and also brings good defense and leadership to a program that desperately will need it with so many new faces. I understand the 30% from 3 is worth noting, but he shot 33% his other 3 seasons and shot 77% from the FT line throughout his career, indicating there's shooting ability there. His form isn't broken like X and Trey's shots. If he replicates his numbers from last year and his 3 point % jumped up to 33, I can't imagine there'd be any complaining around here. You'd definitely want a consistently strong shooter at the other guard spot but we should be thrilled if Perkins chooses to come here. We're a tournament team this year if we had a Tony Perkins.

To get “safely” back into the tournament you’ll need a start BPM total around 30-35. So without Kel’el, where is that hole getting filled? Let’s say you bump MM and MR to 15 combined (which is possible), you have to find another 15+ from the other 3 slots.
Perkins is a 5 BPM. So he’s on target, but just barely. You might need one or two guys more in the 7 range like Nelson/Estrada from Bama. Either way, you’ll need to hit some home runs very soon.
Phenomenal post Mike! Hope to read more from you.

1 man team, that's why I didn't have them getting this far in the tourney, Creighton would've been a much tougher game.

Vols doing their best to keep Purdue in this. Multiple air balls, allowing wide open layups. Frustrating.

Every March I pick them to go to the Final 4 it seems like, and they always let me down.
Glad I didn't let myself make that mistake again this year.
Exact same here, we learned from our mistakes. I knew Love would shoot them out of a game at some point.

I'll make this the spot where I sit down and enjoy my plate of crow. I preferred Kadin Shedrick to Ware last offseason, and boy was I wrong. Shedrick went on to average 8/3 in 17 mpg for Texas.
Ware was a ton of fun to watch. As bad as things seemed, it could've been soooo much worse without him (imagine Sparks as the starting 5 all year). That end of season run was on the back of Ware. Really wish we could've given him some guards/shooters and gotten him to the tournament, but I'll always look back fondly of his short stint here in Bloomington.

Will be interesting to follow his college career

He was the first person I thought of lol! I bet half his tweets the past couple weeks have included the word "mid" referring to Dusty and FAU.
