Just because I don't consider UK a rival  doesn't mean that I feel any differently towards the team.  They will always be my 2nd most despised program. 
I still contend, though, you can't have a rivalry if you never play. 

I would bet he was warned after his first incident.  Thus, I would think he would have known he was on zero tolerance and understand the repercussions of further incidents. 
 
From the outside looking in, it seems he had the i don't care, i'll do what i want mentality and it didn't exactly work out for him.
 
Can't really compare to other students.  Holt wasn't dismissed from IU, he was just dismissed from the team.

Well, I'll stick to my version at the moment. Yesterday was ugly, but they have their opportunities to right the ship. No sense going totally negative on them over yesterday. Being negative all the time just takes the joy out of life. Another effort or two like that though......

Were they offensive highlights or defensive lowlights? I think the majority of the game was just horrible defense on both sides. I love what our offense did, but these were too BAD defenses.

I don't think our D is as bad as they showed today.

There is one difference though.  For other teams it is a once in a blue moon occurrence.   For IU, it happens every Saturday.

I think Wilson is the right guy.Our recruiting is slowly improving. An improved year this year will continue this slow improvement. IIf we make a change, I am not convinced we would get someone better to come in and do any better.  He has learned the stateand how to lead the program.  I am not ready to start over.   

Alford Bailey stated he "was shocked we landed a guy the caliber of Wilson" and I'm in agreement.  We are hardly a dream job and I don't consider us a long term destination job either.  At best we are a stepping stone on someone's career path to higher profile programs.  It's fine to voice your desire for a particular individual to be the next head football (or basketball) coach but it just seems to be relatively pointless because barring a total collapse Wilson will be back again in 2016 and in as many future years as he may wish to stay because university administration seemingly doesn't have the "fire in the belly" to be among the elites when it comes to football (and many believe basketball as well).   My two cents worth.

Let's not overlook the one truly bright spot about yesterday's game.  For the past 16 hours, it diverted our attention from our issues with the b-ball team.   :laugh: 

Hopefully the 9 who didn't play will realize they aren't bigger than the program. Kudos to CKW for sticking to his guns on this one.

It's a win. A rather depressing win, but a win nonetheless. *sigh*

Scales, Latham, and Dutra coming back will help the defense. Again it's too early to panic, wasn't it Nebraska last year who needed a last second miracle play to beat a FCS school? I think most here would be satisfied if we turned out to be as good as Nebraska lol. We have to improve though.
