Cincy made an adjustment to make Penix beat them which he wasn’t able to with little help from Fryfogle and line unable to pick up the blitzes. My concern with moving to Tuttle is if the line does miss he’s not going to escape pressure as well as Penix due to the difference in athleticism. Tuttle very well likely may be the better thrower but teams aren’t going to let him sit back there and throw it. And I’d wager to think the O-Line play as well against the Big10 gautlent that they did today for a few quarter. Just my take on it. Not sure what the best route is, tough spot for Allen and staff to be in
I would agree with you if we were seeing the Penix at the beginning of last year. The Penix of this year has not shown himself to be any more mobile than Tuttle, and worse he seems to have lost his decision making. I am not sure that we lost at Iowa because of his bad decisions, but certainly yesterday his poor decision making contributed greatly to the loss.
Unfortunately, yesterday, there were also many other mistakes that led to getting beat. -

Yes, I do not think I would have believed it if I hadn't seen it happen. Talk about flipping a switch...

This take is utter BS. Look at the program you are talking about. In our long and illustrious history we have only had three coaches take us to back to back bowls. Mallory, Wilson, and now Allen. Yes the team has not lived up to the hype this year, but so far he has delivered everything we can reasonably expect from a coach.
I've been an IU fan for over 50 years now. It was only 7 years ago, that I took my Dad to a bowl game, because we were not sure he would live to see IU in another one. -

Yep, 21 points is an awful lot to overcome. IU can obviously play with Cincinnati we just made way to many dumb mistakes.

With that said, I think it might be time to see what Tuttle can do from here
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkYou are right, of course, it is almost never one players fault. I also think your last line is the most correct.

Well it was good while it lasted. I hate to say it, but it is time to put in Tuttle. Penix just does not have it any more.,

We should be up by a lot more than 1 :(. 3 bad plays inside the 10.

Time left on the clock. Can we PLEASE NOT shoot ourselves in the foot this possession?

Damn 21 points would have been nice. even 9 points would have been good.

We needed that run.

I just got a call from my Dad in the stands. :) He says he is optimistic, but no one else around thinks IU can hold on.

Carr is getting hit two yards deep every time. It is kind of surprising that he has even had any positive yards this half.

Wow, this is the Indiana football I know and love.

The way that play started, I thought it was busted. :)

We must not have anyone else that can punt.

Wow, this is a bad start.

I don't remember Penix making those kind of bad decisions before, We are going to go into 1/2 time tied.

I don't see how that can be targeting when when he was pushed into the qb.

We need this one. Cannot go 0 for 3 at the 10
How long a leash on Penix?

What do you guys think, are we going to see a QB change?
I get the argument that Penix is more "mobile" than Tuttle. Not sure that we have really seen that this year though. He just does not look like the same player as last year.
