Finding Forrester is a strong call. A list of mine would absolutely have Diner and probably Chariots of Fire.

For me he gets massive extra credit for The Year of Living Dangerously and Days of Heaven. Maybe a slight demerit for Godfather 2 over the original. But, not a single thing on there I don’t like.

Anthony Walker for the win. -
2023 SF/PF Mackenzie Mgbako to INDI-F’N-ANA
Demo replied to Chris007's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Ya know, “How tall is Mgbako, really” is my favorite rabbit hole in some time. Saturday can’t get here soon enough. -
If this happens Payne might as well go jump off a bridge.

Unless Woody is down to like 6’2”, Mgbako is more than 6’6”. -

What does it say about a program that a top-50 kid is transferring and it just doesn’t make much difference? -
(2024) PF - Derik Queen to Maryland
Demo replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
KU/Self is KU/Self. They can certainly get anybody. But I’d be pretty shocked if they can make either of these happen. Bidunga and Queen would certainly be an odd fit. Plus, they’ve supposedly been the school hardest on Ngongba. And when McNeeley talks he goes on and on about personal connection, even more sometimes than actual basketball, and KU’s usual pitch of, “We’re royalty and we’re extending you an invitation”, feels a little tone-deaf with him. He’s a different kid. But, hell, who knows? -
Along with being an obviously great director, my Lord, does Fincher have great taste.

So, Queen and McNeely are now taking 2 officials together. -

Not that it hasn’t been clear from the jump, but Mgbako is an impressive kid and he will rep the school very well. -

See, y’all’s lack of faith is gonna cost you. When the boys bust out a programming- turning win and put a much deserved end to the Ryan Day “era”….. I can’t even. OSU 38 IU 13 -
I don’t know who’s advising him but, Jesus, if you’re gonna class up and looking at a KU or Gonzaga, and your name isn’t Cooper Flagg, the odds are really freaking good that you may not be in the rotation. You want 15 shots a night? Go play at UCSB.

Best game she’s played that I’ve watched. Boston was out late with a thumb. Grace played the entire 4th and scored 6 in the qtr, including a couple of very aggressive takes when they were struggling to score. Held up defensively, which has been a bit of an issue against better guards. And it certainly helped that Kristy Wallace went all Steph Curry and made something like 6 or 7 3’s, including 2 huge ones late. Fun game.

Hardest possible pass.

B10 Basketball Recruiting Thread

Nice get for UM, but this might be an interesting follow. It took the NCAA a couple of months to determine his eligibility, and given the Michigan academic folks fondness for screwing with Howard, this could probably go anywhere. -
https://pittsburghsportsnow.com/2023/08/25/dior-johnson-leaves-pitt-mens-basketball-program/ Try not to spit take with surprise, but Dior Johnson has left Pitt. That kid is a stone mess. Coaches keep trying and it keeps not happening. Guessing this was the last one. Hope the kid finds help, because most of his outcomes at this point are really bad.

That is a totally defensible argument. Great player. The only guy I can remember legitimately blocking a Kareem skyhook.

He’s Aussie or Kiwi, 1 or the other. So, I’m sure he’ll end up at St Mary’s because they all do.

2 things here: 1) Artis Gilmore looks good. That dude’s gotta be pushing 75. 2) Has anyone seen a picture of Duncan since he retired where he doesn’t look completely baked?

(2024) - SF- Annor Boateng to Missouri
Demo replied to Demo's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Everything you hear around here is that Boateng is priority 1 for Mizzou and has been all season. Gates and Charlton Young have supposedly watched him during every live session.
